The International Federation for Information Technologies in Travel and Tourism (IFITT) is the leading
independent global community for the discussion,
exchange and development of knowledge about the
use and impact of new information and communication technologies (ICT) in the travel and tourism
industry. The IFITT community is highly active at all levels and comprises many of the leading experts in the
field - as well as those entering the area for the first
time. The IFITT vision is to create THE global eTourism
knowledge network and community.
Lund University,
Campus Helsingborg
Established in 1666, Lund University is considered to
be the strongest research university in Sweden and
one of Scandinavia’s largest institutions for education
and research. Campus Helsingborg is a young and
important part of Lund University. The Campus is situated in the city of Helsingborg and direct cooperation with the business sector is a significant aspect of
Campus Helsingborg’s character.
Mid Sweden University,
European Tourism Research Institute
Mid Sweden University (MIUN), is a multi-campus network university with centres in Härnösand, Sundsvall
and Östersund. The European Tourism Research Institute (Etour) at MIUN develops and communicates
knowledge about tourism and travel. Etour activities
include research, education, dialogue and collaboration. The department offers courses in human geography, tourism studies and tourism education.
