LAND WEST OF MICKLEOVER New House Farm – A high quality housing and community development You are invited to attend a public exhibition to view early proposals for a high quality and characterful housing development on land to the west of Mickleover. The event will be held on: Tuesday 24th May between 4pm and 8pm at Mickleover Court Hotel, Etwall Road, Derby DE3 0XX www.landwestofmickleover.co.uk (Available from the 24th May 2016) LAND WEST OF MICKLEOVER New House Farm - A high quality housing and community development South Derbyshire District Council’s emerging Local Plan provides a blueprint of where new development should happen up to 2028. It has identified this site for development as part of the proposed modifications to the Local Plan Part 1 which was recently subject to consultation. This strategic allocation in the Local Plan is for around 1,650 new homes. 550 homes either have planning permission or the Council has resolved to grant permission subject to the signing of a legal agreement. We would now like to invite you to participate in a consultation regarding the remainder of the site which can accommodate up to 1,100 high quality new homes, a primary school, a local centre which includes space for a doctor’s surgery, neighbourhood shopping, a café/restaurant, a pub and a community facility. The proposals would also include around 35 acres of green spaces, play areas and landscaping as well as new footpaths and cycleways connecting into existing provision. This would be a sustainable development which provides community facilities as well as a full mix of attractive homes, including starter and family homes and affordable housing for local people. www.landwestofmickleover. co.uk, from the 24th May 2016 - where you can also complete a comment form and ask questions.
