WHERE SUMMER IS... INTENTIONALLY AWESOME SUMMER DAY CAMP 2016 CONVENIENT ONLINE ENROLLMENT GREATER WICHITA YMCA YMCA CAMP HYDE + 10 Additional locations VISIT YMCAWICHITA.ORG/CAMP DETAILS P. 30 PARENTS TRUST US 'S R E M M U S E WHER LY L A N O I T N E T IN AWESOME The YMCA takes seriously the protection and safety of our campers. As a result, the YMCA has policies, procedures and guidelines for those who will be working with your child. All camp programs are licensed through Kansas Department of Health & Environment and are monitored annually. We’re excited that you’re considering spending time with us this summer! YMCA summer day camps are fun and safe places that allow kids the chance to explore new things as they discover who they are and what they can achieve. PROVEN SAFETY PRACTICES Whether at YMCA Camp Hyde or one of our other exciting camp locations, your camper will enjoy new experiences and build new relationships every day. Plus, each and every camp activity is focused on helping your child develop better skills, stronger values and positive lifelong behaviors. • YMCA staff are First Aid/CPR certified. • YMCA staff have prior experience working with children. • YMCA staff have received training in Signs & Symptoms of Childhood Illness, Child Abuse & Neglect, and Positive Discipline Techniques. This is where summer does come to life! Our veteran staff have put together 12 exciting, fun-filled weeks that are geared towards making your child’s summer a magical, memorable and intentionally awesome experience. From building positive role models through weekly bully busters and character challenges, to staying healthy and active through things like swimming and field games, your camper will be turning summer fun into life lessons. • YMCA staff and volunteers undergo a comprehensive pre-employment screening, including reference checks and criminal history checks. Through it all, our attentive, skilled and fun-loving camp counselors will be working hard to ensure that activities foster positive group and individual experiences for your child. • YMCA staff and program volunteers are not to socialize or have contact with participants outside of Y programs. With every summer comes new opportunities for our campers, and we hope to see you and your kids as part of our unique summer camp family! • YMCA staff never leave children unsupervised. Head counts are constantly taken, and children will remain in visual and hearing range of YMCA staff. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at the numbers below. We welcome the opportunity to tell you about all the things that make this camp so special. See you this summer!
