Mission & Vision: Our Mission is to be the leader in preparing the region and its citizens, individually and collectively to thrive in the 21st century global environment by promoting international understanding, education, engagement, and cooperation. ANNUAL REPORT 2015 Our Vision is a culturally aware and respectful citizenry engaged with the world. Greater Cincinnati World Affairs Council | 859.448.8984 | info@cincyworldaffairs.org | globalcincinnati.org GLOBAL IMPACT ‘15 Public Programs GCWAC served over 750 business, academic, and civic leaders with 15 events through the following: Global Gaggles, conferences, foreign policy discussions, and luncheons and dinners! Events pictured above: U.S. Ambassador to Korea Mark Lippert at National Underground Railroad Freedom Center partner event, German Ambassador Peter Wittig Speaking Event, and Global Gaggle: Empowering European Youth through Entrepreneurship and Innovation Exchange Programs Over 250 visitors from 65 different countries came to Cincinnati and met with local professionals and organizations. The visitors stayed in local Cincinnati hotels and many of the Cincinnati community members hosted dinners for the delegates. Education Programs 3,278 Partnering with Northern Kentucky University, we gave away a $500 study abroad scholarship to the winner of the Global Climate essay contest. GCWAC served 3,278 students and adults within the Greater Cincinnati region through our annual education programs.
