Ecoterra® HVI Hydraulic Oil High-quality, zinc-free high viscosity index antiwear hydraulic oil; specifically developed for use in off-road equipment operating over a wide temperature range; inherently biodegradable Ecoterra HVI Hydraulic Oil (ISO 46) is specifically formulated for use in the hydraulic systems of off-road equipment manufactured by Hitachi, John Deere and others operating over a wide temperature range. It has excellent water-separating properties to minimize the formation of emulsions and is resistant to excessive foam buildup that can cause poor or sluggish hydraulic system response. The combination of high viscosity index and low pour point permits its use over a wider temperature range than conventional antiwear hydraulic oil. The high viscosity index helps maintain oil viscosity at operating temperatures to reduce energy loss caused by internal oil leakage in the hydraulic system, resulting in higher hydraulic system efficiency. Ecoterra Hydraulic Oil 46 meets the performance requirements of Hitachi Advanced Hydraulic Oil, and is fully compatible with the Hitachi fluid and with Hitachi seals and hoses. Applications: • Hitachi excavators with 4,000-hour service intervals • Hydraulic systems of excavators, backhoes, bulldozers, crawlers, skid steers, front-end loaders, wheel loaders, motor graders, compaction equipment and forestry equipment, where the manufacturer recommends a zinc-free hydraulic fluid Features/Benefits: • Zinc-free formulation • Very high VI to reduce internal oil leakage for higher system efficiency • Increased hydraulic system efficiency up to 6% compared to conventional hydraulic fluids • Suitable for year-round use • Excellent wear protection for hydraulic pumps and motors • Excellent oxidation resistance • Protects against rust and corrosion • Excellent water-separating properties • Improved filterability • Good foam resistance • Extended equipment life Note: Ecoterra Hydraulic Fluid HVI 46 is not compatible with zinc-containing hydraulic oils and may cause residue, gelling or filter plugging if mixed with such fluids. Mixing the two products will lessen the environmental advantages normally gained by using Ecoterra Hydraulic Fluid HVI 46. Ecoterra® HVI-E Hydraulic Oil High VI, Zinc-Free Antiwear Hydraulic Oil For Off-Road Equipment; Emulsifies With Water Ecoterra HVI-E Hydraulic Oil is a high-quality, high viscosity index, zinc-free antiwear hydraulic oil developed for use in mobile equipment operating over a wide temperature range and in wet environments. It is specially formulated to emulsify readily with water to maintain effective lubrication in the presence of water. It is particularly recommended for use in off-road equipment manufactured by Hitachi, John Deere and others, operating under conditions where an emulsifiable hydraulic oil is specified or preferred. It is formulated with an ashless (zinc-free) antiwear additive package to provide excellent wear protection for hydraulic pumps and motors, and to protect hydraulic system components against rust and corrosion. It has excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability at high temperatures to minimize deposit formation and provide long service life. It has a high viscosity index and low pour point for use over a EN VI R O N M E N TA L LY C ON SC IOU S wider temperature range than conventional antiwear hydraulic oils. It also has excellent low-temperature properties for cold start-ups. It is resistant to excessive foam buildup that can cause poor or sluggish hydraulic system response. Ecoterra HVI-E Hydraulic Oil meets the performance requirements of all major hydraulic pump manufacturers, and is recommended for use in all types of high-pressure, high-speed hydraulic pumps. It also meets the performance requirements of Hitachi Advanced Hydraulic Oil where an emulsifiable hydraulic oil is recommended, and is fully compatible with the Hitachi fluid and Hitachi seals and hoses. Applications: • Hydraulic equipment operating in environmentally sensitive areas such as national parks, wildlife refuges, ski resorts and other recreational areas • Hydraulic equipment in amusement parks and zoos •O il drilling rigs and offshore platforms • Electric motor bearings • Hydraulic presses, shears, jacks and punches in machine shops • Service station lifts •H ydraulic systems requiring an ashless, zinc-free hydraulic oil Applications: • Hitachi excavators with 4,000-hour service intervals • Off-road mobile construction and forestry equipment, such as backhoes, bulldozers, crawlers, excavators, skid-steer loaders and motor graders, where the manufacturer recommends an emulsifiable ashless, zinc-free hydraulic oil Features/Benefits: •N ontoxic to aquatic organisms • Inherently biodegradable • Does not contain zinc or other heavy metals • Excellent wear protection for hydraulic pumps and motors • Excellent oxidation resistance and thermal stability • Protects against rust and corrosion • Excellent water-separating properties • Good foam resistance •L ower-cost alternative to synthetic biodegradable hydraulic fluids Ecoterra HVI-E Hydraulic Oil meets the requirements (except demulsibility) of the following industry and OEM specifications: • AIST (U.S. Steel) Classification No. 127 • Bosch Rexroth RE 90 220 • Denison Hydraulics HF-0, HF-1, HF-2 • DIN 51524 Part 3, Antiwear Hydraulic Oils, Type HVLP • German Steel Industry SEB 181222 • Hitachi Advanced Hydraulic Oil • ISO 11158:1997, Family H (Hydraulic Systems), Type HV • Vickers (Eaton) M-2950-S, I-286-S Features/Benefits: • Zinc-free formulation • Very high VI to reduce internal oil leakage for higher system efficiency • Increased hydraulic system efficiency by up to 6% compared to conventional hydraulic fluids • Excellent wear protection for hydraulic pumps and motors • Excellent oxidation resistance • Protects against rust and corrosion • Emulsifies readily with water • Good filterability • Good foam resistance • Suitable for year-round use Note: Ecoterra Hydraulic Oil is not compatible with zinc-containing hydraulic oils and may cause residue, gelling or filter plugging if mixed with such fluids. Mixing will lessen the environmental advantages normally gained by using Ecoterra Hydraulic Oil.
