PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Students and teachers have had a busy week and have been enjoying the pleasant weather.
Earlier this week information regarding the Dubbo Excursion was finalised and sent home. Please check
that you have received this information as it is important to be budgeting for the cost of the excursion. Final
payments will need to be received no later than 19 September.
On Monday, 3 September we celebrated Australian National Flag Day. This was an opportunity for us to
reflect on how our flag unites us as a nation and to celebrate our achievements.
This week is SAS Recognition Week. This is a time for us to recognise and thank Mrs Barnes, Mrs Abra and
Mrs Wise for their ongoing work for the school and community.

SAS STAFF RECOGNITION WEEK
This week students and staff acknowledged the
hard work done by our School Administrative and
Support Staff as part of National SAS Recognition
Week. SAS Staff is a dedicated group of workers
who are often overlooked. Recognition Week is a
great time to thank our SAS Staff and provides the
opportunity to demonstrate that they are valued
members of the school community.
Thank you to our teaching staff for providing the
delicious morning tea last Monday.
Playgroup operates at our school each Monday at
10.00 am. Parents and pre-school children (0-5
years) are invited to attend.
SPELLING IT OUT AT HOME
The School Ato Z website's popular mobile Spelling
Bee game can now be played on your home
computer. The game is designed for both junior
and senior primary school students and features
words from the Macquarie Dictionary. Parents
might be tempted to test their skills on the harder
levels.
