Presidents Report – Brian Hague
Annual Presidents report
March 29, 2014
The Board started out the year with Bob Brandt, Don Brandt, Ron Koster, Dick Parks, and
myself. Ron had to leave the Board and the Board elected Sandy Shultz to finish Ron’s term.
We also had Chris Sirochman volunteer to be Secretary for the board, and I know everyone
really appreciates her contribution.
We established the annual budget and we will be able to complete everything we need to do
for this year, without an increase to the annual assessment.
During this year’s rainy season we received more rain then I have seen in the 16 years I have
owned property in Crossroads. We sustained significant damage to the roads in several places
and Gary Burris and the roads committee were able to get this repaired. We also had several
residents out with their tractors helping clear the roads. I would like to thank them for getting
out to help with cleanup.
Bob Brandt and his committee have been working on the CCR changes and have them about
ready to send out for a vote. Please remember that when you vote - that a “No” vote will not
allow any of the changes to pass, so please look at the changes in their entirety. The board and
members have reviewed the county Road Maintenance Improvement Program (RIMP) and
determined this currently will not be a benefit to our community.
I would like to thank all of the Volunteers that have really helped out the community this year.
We would not have been able to complete all the things that we were able to do.
The Board held a short meeting after the Annual meeting for a couple of items. The
appointment of officers; Brian Hague was voted in as President, Don Brandt as Vice President,
and new members Sandy Schulz and Roxanne Batt as directors.
We also received signatures from the new members for our bank accounts and removed one
member from the signature list due to lack of attendance causing possible delays in signing
checks.
The new board decided to leave Board open meetings, as is, at 6:30 pm, and changed the
Executive meetings to begin at 5:30 pm. The location remains at the Williamson Valley Fire
station every third Friday.
Committee Reports
Roads Committee – Don Brandt, Chairperson
The new road committee members are: Terry Flood, Mick Supina, John Schneider and Troy
Wade. We will meet in early March to discuss the 2014 road (paved and gravel) and culvert
repairs. We will also be replacing some of our worn “road name” signs plus replacing/adding
delineators as needed around the ranch.
Some road patching will also be done, but not until later in the summer.
Please thank the committee members for volunteering to help our community.

Finance Committee – Sandy Stamper, Chairperson

a. Started - $311,615
b. Added – $211,687
c. Spent – $376,002
d. Ended - $147,300
2. 2013 Performance to Budget
a. Receipts OVER budget by $14,684
i. More assessments and escrow receipts than expected
b. Expenditures OVER budget by $29,770
i. More road expenses than expected
March 2014 - February Financial Statement has the cash assets at $330,193 with no liabilities.
The Profit & Loss Statement has the year-to-date income total is $190,140, which is $10,260
over budget, which is due to a greater percent of the assessments being paid earlier than
expected. The expenditures total $7,247, which is $3,678 under budget, mainly because dirt
road work budgeted in Feb. didn’t happen.
Neighborhood Watch Committee - Ron Jackson, Chairperson
There were no incidents to report this month.

Annual Meeting Report
March 29, 2014
Throughout 2013 the Landscape Committee continued to enhance and maintain the
landscaping at our front entrance. The committee weeded and watered, added some plants,
maintained the irrigation system, and nurtured the new red and yellow yuccas that we hope
add some much needed color to our entrance.
During 2013 we had an approved budget of $725 and our expenses totaled $628. We saved
money this past summer thanks to our monsoon rains. We didn’t need to fill our water tank
from July through September!
A week ago Friday Allen Funderburgh, Mick Supina, and Bill Graf replaced the fittings on the
water tank and pump that had gotten brittle and leaky over time. They also changed the level
of the lines coming out from the pump so the water is no longer being fed uphill from the
pump. It sounds simple, but it meant lots of digging and hard work! A huge thanks goes out to
them!
We are planning a spring clean-up next month and new members are always welcome. If you
would like to get out and get your hands dirty, we always have some weeds that are waiting to
be pulled. Check the bulletin board for the time and date.
The committee members who kept your front landscape looking good throughout 2013 were
Roxanne Batt, Joan Bledsoe, Carol and Allen Funderburgh, Mary Jane Hopf, Vera Leonard, Linda
Russell, Su Supina and Vince Tobia. In addition to our committee members, we have several
volunteers who consistently help us throughout the year. They are Joe Giddens, Bill Graf, and
Mick Supina. I hope I haven’t left anyone out.
Thank you!

their homes in 2013 for Socials and Road Cleanups:

Schulz and Jo Ball will be having a Social in September, Connie and Vince Tobia will be hosting
the October Road Cleanup and Lynn and Joe Giddens will be hosting the Christmas Social again
this year.
It’s always the same people that support the Social Committee. Let’s get some different people
to volunteer for the May, June, July, August and November Socials.
We have sent 17 “Welcome Letters” and visited and/or contacted 11 new residents in 2013 and
3 “Welcome Letters” so far in 2014. The Directory will be coming out in April, so watch for it in
your emails.
Thanks to The Palace for reserving a room for the lunch after the Annual Meeting. Now, I
would like to take this opportunity to thank the Social Committee Members, Jo Ball, Maryann
Burris, Mary Jane Hopf, Marianne Hamilton and Connie Tobia, for doing such a great job.
Mary Jane Hopf is resigning from the Social Committee and as of the end of this month, I will be
