Welcome We are pleased to be presenting the third HyLee Production and Consignment Auction. In 2009 we accepted some outside consignments and we believe that the auction was well received. Many of the horses purchased went on to win for their new owners at major shows. Other purchases successfully suited the purpose they were intended for in trail and pleasure riding. The young prospects have given many people an opportunity to add new bloodlines to their farm and others the chance to finish them out in hopes of a profit or personal intentions. We purchased one of the sale horses and she went into our lesson program and was leased and successfully shown by a junior exhibitor. It is our greatest hope that the auction will continue to put nice horses into the hands of new people who can enjoy whatever potential the horse can deliver and that the sellers will benefit financially and reap the residual rewards of having a good reputation in the horse industry for the kind of horses they have for sale. All the horses in the auction will be in good order and have health certificates. We wish sellers and buyers good luck and hope you enjoy inspecting the horses we have in the auction. Our representatives will then try to purchase the lot or lots of your choice for the lowest price possible, and never for more than the top amount indicated by you. This service is free and confidential. PLEASE NOTE: Addis Equine Auctions offers this service as a convenience to clients who are unable to attend the auction and, although we will make every effort, Addis Equine Auctions will not be responsible for error or failure to execute bids. PLACING ABSENTEE BIDS: To place bids, please use the absentee bid form provided in this catalog. Be sure to accurately record the names and descriptions and the top price you are willing to pay for each lot. “Buy” or unlimited bids will not be accepted. Always indicate a “top limit”—the amount to which you would bid if you were attending the auction yourself. Alternative bids should be indicated by using the word “OR” between names. Then if your bid on an early lot is successful, we will not continue to bid on other lots for you. Or, if your early bids are unsuccessful, we will continue to execute bids for alternative lots until a bid is successful. Bids must always be placed in the same order as the lot numbers appear in the catalog. Please place your bids as early as possible. In the event of identical bids, the earliest received will take precedence. TELEPHONE BIDS: Telephone bids will be accepted only through an agent of your choosing. Please refer to the “Terms and Conditions of Sale” for payment and delivery requirements applicable to all successful bidders.
