berkesan.Penggunaannya

Internet.Kelajuanpenghantaran

dihantarkepadapenghantardanpenerimauntuk memberitahubahawaattochment

Internet e-mail is one of the simplestand yet most powerfrrl Internet services.The
usageof e-mail has grown rapidly sincethe beginning of Internet age.The speedof e-mail
far exceedsthe speedof any expresspost and any kind of manualpostal servicethat exist.
With the adve,ntof MIME, which standsfor Multiptrpose lnternet Mail Ercension,and other
types of encodingschemes,such as UUencode,not only can you se'ndmessages
electronically, butyou can also sendformatted documents,photos, sormdfiles and video
files. But the upsettingnews from the growth of electronic e-mail usageis it has also
increasedthe growth of virus infection through e-mail attaohment.Virus oan spreadthrough
electronic e-mail attaohmentfrom one user to other us€rs.Sometimese-mail is usedto launch
e-mail attacks,targetedspecifically at a organizationto obtain confidential information or
gain control of their resources.This purposeof this project was to build a simple electronic e'
mail servicethat can scanaffachmentsreceived as a preventivemethodfrom geuing infect€d
with virus through electronic e-mail attachme,nt.All attacbmentsreceivedwill be
automatically scannedwith a ProfessionalVirus Scannerbcforc sendingit to user's mailbox.
If a virus is detected,a notice will be s€rltto both senderand rec,eiverto inform that the email
attachmentcontainsvirus. Otherwise,the e-mail attachmentwill be sent to the user in a usual
rnarmer.This systemalso provides other facilities suchas addressboolq e-mail filtering
mailbo>Lcomposemail and etc which are found in other e'mail clients.
