AHIS 120 Final Exam Guide
Slides for Andrew Oko’s AHIS120 Final Exam This is the (incredibly unofficial) slide/artwork guide for Andrew Oko’s AHIS120 Winter 2010 final exam, and only contains the pieces discussed in class for each of the starred/need to know artists. All images were taken from Google Images, so if you need a better look they’re fairly easy to find. Not all images will match exactly what were shown in class. This is a starting point for studying for the exam - while you’ll need to be able to identify any given work along with artist and period, you’ll also need to refer to your own notes to study the style, background, characteristics, etc. The exam breaks down as follows: /20 - Summarize one of the two reprotext articles discussed in class (see handout) /20 - Three works - identify title, artist, and period. Choose 2 of 3, discuss innovative nature in context of period. /5 - Identify title, artist and period, justify the selection of period. /3 - Identify artist, period, and medium. /2 - Identify artist and period. /20 - Identify artists and movements for two works. Compare and contrast style, context, content. Remember to check this information against your notes. I did the best I could to get this guide made as soon as possible, and I can’t guarantee that everything is 100% accurate. -Chris. PS- I’ll be taking Andrew Oko’s AHIS210 this spring (May-June). I’ll only put the slides together if there’s enough interest.
