DD to showcase sports reality show 'Khel Khel Mein'

MUMBAI: In the midst of the Commonwealth Games, Doordarshan National has come up with a sports reality show to increase the popularity of sports
amongst Indians. Being shot in Mumbai, ‘Khel Khel Mein’- one hour show will see anchors Milind Soman and Shraddha asking questions related to 13 different sports to
8 contestants, 4 girls and 4 boys who will be paired up in teams of twos. Pavan Shankar will be the coach for the 13 episode show which will be
showcased on the channel at 10-11 pm. Kirti, the show's director, said, "As the 19th CWG games are around the corner, this show is being highlighted with a view to encourage awareness
about sports and develop the spirit of sports in people."
The 8 contestants will remain throughout the show and at the end of each episode; the teams will be allocated with points based on their
performance. The team with the highest score in the end will be declared the winner.
Apart from the studio, the participants in the show will also be playing on the field. The weekly show will also have guests associated with different
sports, both at present as well as past namely, PT Usha, Gopi Chand, Viren Rasquinha, Dhanraj Pillay, Rahul Bose, Suneil Shetty, Milkha Singh, Khazan
Singh, Raghavendra Rathore, Rahul Dev, Virendra Singh, Veerdhawal Khade,Ritwik Bhatacharya, Saina Nehwal, Bikram Saluja, Rajyavardhan Singh
Rathore, Vijendra Singh, and Dara Singh and others.
