May 26, 2015 Dear Possible Rodeo Parade and Grand Entry Participant: The Inter-‐State Fair & Rodeo extends a special invitation to you to participate in the Rodeo Parade on Wednesday, August 12, 4:00 p.m., and the Rodeo Grand Entry each evening, August 12 through August 15, at 7:30 p.m. Parade: Rodeo Parade participants are to assemble at the corner of 9th and Spruce at 3:00 p.m. on August 12. At that time you will be assigned a specific street number and location in the parade lineup. Please have all parade participants and horses remain in the street. Do not go on private property or on the lawns of the nearby houses. Saddle clubs are judged according to the following criteria: 1. All clubs must be identified in such a manner that the judges can clearly see who the group is at any point in the parade route (Name of group and town). 2. Clubs will be judged on conformation, uniforms, equipment and spacing. A minimum of 10 riders to a club – One rider per horse. 3. Last year’s first place winner cannot succeed itself as a first place winner the following year. 4. Prizes will be awarded as follows: First Place -‐ $100, Second Place -‐ $75, Third Place -‐ $50. 5. There will be no competition for decorated floats. A copy of the parade route is on the reverse side of this letter. Please return the form below to PO Box 457, Coffeyville, KS 67337. The deadline to enter is August 1. Grand Entry: All riders in the Rodeo Grand Entry receive free rodeo admission. Tickets are distributed as participants leave the arena. Grand Entry participants should be at the north arena gate no later than 7:15 p.m. each evening. The following policies must be enforced due to insurance requirements and because the PRCA is enforcing their policies. 1. Only one rider is allowed per horse. No tickets will be given if more than one rider is on a horse. 2. All riders must be in PRCA approved attire: long-‐sleeved shirt, jeans and cowboy hat.
