High Positive Geometries
Geometries and Grades
High positive geometry
- ALU
Geometry for machining aluminum,
aluminum alloys and non-ferrous
materials. Also suitable for finishing
stainless steel. Very low cutting forces due
to sharp cutting edge and special chipbreaker. Excellent machining of unstable
and thin-walled workpieces. Precision
ground insert.
Medium machining

Grades
AM5015
Wear resistant grade for machining steel, cast steel, stainless steel
and high temperature alloys (super alloys).
AM5025
Suitable for medium machining and roughing of tough exotic
materials such as E-cu, molybdenum, nickel, pure iron, Inconel and
stainless steel.
Ideal grade for finish to medium machining of stainless steel,
temperature resistant steel and titanium (alloys). AM5025 has
very good toughness and good wear resistance and can be used
both at varied cutting depth and interupted cutting.
AM5220
AM5110
AP5210
Grade for finish machining of stainless steel, nickel –, titanium
alloys and exotic materials. Also for abrasive and hard materials
such as CoCrMo and chilled cast iron.
AM5120
The grade for roughing stainless steel and machining of exotic
materials, heat resistant and titanium alloys.
