! Frontier! Frontier is a band from London, KY that delights audiences with upbeat melodies and swelling three-part harmonies. The band includes Ethan Worley-age 22- (rhythm and lead guitar, vocals, and songwriter), his brother Andrew Worley-age 19- (rhythm and lead guitar, vocals, and songwriter), and their cousin Caleb Caudill-age 16(bass guitar and vocals). ! Their passion for songwriting and performing music was born from such diverse musical influences as the Zac Brown Band, Exile, John Mayer, James Taylor, the Eagles, and the Beatles. However, the one event that has shaped their music the most was hearing a live acoustic performance by the band Exile and experiencing their powerful harmonies. “We want to write and perform honest songs that are good, clean, and about real life,” says Andrew. ! Whether they are performing cover songs or original songs, these young men put their hearts and souls into their music. Their performances showcase their tight vocal harmonies, their talent as musicians, and their impressive ability to write meaningful songs that people can relate to. They take bits and pieces they collect from everyday life experiences and weave them into songs that blend old and new into a sound that is uniquely theirs. “We use time-tested techniques from the classics and combine that with the energy and catchiness of pop to create our own sound,” says Caleb. ! They recorded a demo in Nashville and locally recorded an album, “Longer Roads,” that includes eight of their original songs. They have enjoyed performing live for audiences in many wonderful venues throughout the region. They were humbled to perform at the 2015 Kentucky Music Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, where several Kentucky-native talents, including Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry; Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson of The Backstreet Boys; Clarence Spalding and others were recognized. They shared the stage with Sundy Best at an event at the Corbin Arena that challenged youth to strive for excellence. They have also performed on KET television programs and various festivals and concert series in Frankfort, Bardstown, Beattyville, Barbourville, Pineville, Hazard, Somerset, and London, as well as in various businesses and other events and towns throughout the region. They are excited about the shows they have scheduled for 2015, which include a performance at the Governor’s Derby Celebration in Frankfort, KY, an appearance on the Blue Plate Special radio show on WDVX in Knoxville, TN, performances in Louisville, KY, and other exciting shows. “We knew from a very young age that music was going to be an important part of our lives, and we are excited to see where the music takes us,” says Ethan. !
