1973. The Molton Brown story begins at 58 South Molton Street in the heart of London’s Mayfair. Initially a
hair salon, Molton Brown set out to bring a natural ethos to a world excited by synthetics. Before long we
were hand-mixing new body, hair and skin creations on site using flowers, herbs, fruit and marine plants.
The salon became our first Molton Brown emporium and instantly became a destination store for visitors
from around the world.
Today the scale is bigger, but the same quality, creativity and passion still flow through the veins of the
company and inspire everything we do. Our principles remain the same: we still seek out the most
interesting and potent natural plant and mineral extracts on earth; we strive to answer a lifestyle need and
go deeper than our peers; we don’t test on animals; we are environmentally responsible; we continue to
make 80% of our products in-house at our English base; and we are proud to keep on doing our thing
without the pressure to conform.
Our spa world is entwined with our underlying philosophies and principles. Services and treatments were
first on the menu in the original South Molton Street salon; in the 1990s we pioneered express therapies
within the retail setting of our emporia, with the launch of our Lotus Rooms; and in 2004 we unveiled the
world’s first dedicated travel spas at London Heathrow and New York JFK. Since then we have been busy
honing our products, therapies and services until we arrive here at this point in time: with a complete
multi-levelled spa experience, fully formed and ready to go.
Now our customers can find us where they need us most - plane, spa, emporium, hotel room and web. We
now have over 60 Molton Brown emporia around the globe – from Dubai to Tokyo - and our creations are
also available through our partnerships with the world’s finest retailers, five star airlines and hotels. We are
very proud to be made in England and inspired by the globe. Welcome to today’s Molton Brown.

Molton Brown spa has a very special place in the Molton Brown family. It’s a way to
bring our core values to life; it’s the closest we get to our customers and it’s where we
can make the most difference to their immediate lives and moods. In spa we’ve drawn
from our guiding principles to create something extremely special.
Over the years we’ve worked exclusively with some of the world’s best hotels to deliver
a sensory experience in a naturally luxurious environment. Our team has many years
of international spa training, operational, and business development skills and our
dedicated spa division delivers a polished result that goes a little bit further and has
the typical Molton Brown twist.
Everything used in a Molton Brown spa therapy has synergies with our much
loved retail range. From the thai vert essential oil candle burning in the treatment
room to the desert bloom body quencher used on the body; our formulations are
totally distinctive and recognisable.

and with guaranteed results, Molton Brown spa embodies our company philosophy.
It’s barefoot chic. Our team has travelled the globe to seek out the very best hands-on
methods and ingredients to deliver a very tangible benefit, before bringing it back to
our base in England to transform into a very real spa experience.
Nothing is here for show. We focus on the senses and once clients step into our care,
it’s all about touch, breathing and the collaboration of international techniques and
beliefs, old and new. They’ll come into our world and leave theirs behind. This is time
out for clients to stop everything: stop worrying, travelling, juggling and problem solving.
Here we help our clients find the escape they need. If they want indulgence and
pampering, we do that. If they want precision techniques for specific issues, we do
that too. From deeply soothing Hawaiian-style massage to Middle Eastern-style body
cleansing and revitalisation; Chinese-influenced abdominal massage to soothe the
digestive system, to Indian-style relaxation to refocus the mind. It’s all down to the
client’s individual tastes and desires. Our aim is for our clients to step back into their
world feeling a little more comfortable, a little lighter and a little happier.

At Molton Brown we create exciting sensory formulas bursting with the finest natural aromas and
active extracts the earth has to offer, beautifully packaged in sleek, clean lines. Each season our
Research & Development team come up with fresh new concepts using a fusion of new plant and
mineral-originated ingredients as diverse as jade stone and pink peppercorns. Spa formulas move
into retail and retail formulas move into the spa world depending on the needs of a treatment, or
customer demand.

• Feature as many naturally-derived ingredients as possible, all sustainably sourced
• Are not tested on animals, nor have we commissioned any animal testing on our raw ingredients
• Use natural essential oil-based fragrances
• Only use SLES in the key products which specifically need high levels of foam
• Feature many organic ingredients but would never claim to be 100% organic
• Formulations are biodegradable and 100% vegan
• Meet rigorous quality standards and are blended without harsh detergents
Respect for the environment and a love of nature has been a part of our life since we started
sourcing our own plant ingredients in the 1970s. As our production and methods have grown,
so has our potential impact on the planet.

• Our iconic bottles - from 30mls to full-sizes - are made of PET 1, the most
• environmentally friendly plastic: fully recyclable and containing 25% recycled materials

Comfort-cocoon desert bloom safari
This intensely hydrating and enriching experience works on many levels. Infused with
formulations from our nurture body therapies retail range, the journey begins with a foot
bathing ritual and carries on through soft body brushing, a pampering body masque
and a deeply soothing body and scalp massage. This is designed for comfort or an
emotional boost, for anyone with dry or sensitive skin, or suffering the after-effects of too
much sun or wind exposure. African resurrection plant extract is the star ingredient here
and is found in all the products used through the experience: desert bloom bathing milk,
shower cream, body quencher, intensive hand cream and ultrabalm.
Indulge the body
It’s all about the results and these body treatments are streamlined and deeply reviving.
Our three full body massages have a unisex appeal, and are tailored to suit the client’s
mood, pressure preference and physical state. From deep-tissue to soothing & calming,
each massage uses a bespoke blend of ingredients and products. We have also devised
an express menu of top to toe half-hour treatments and grooming services, which work
well as flexible added-value revenue drivers or finishing touches for those in a rush. For

Reawaken the body’s vital energies. Our unique fusion of Swedish massage, shiatsu pressure point
manipulation and body stretching techniques will help to invigorate and re-energise. Vital marine samphire
essential oils, taken from our retail unwind range help to relieve lingering stresses and rid the body of
stagnant energy. Products are tailored to the clients needs and include the ozonic tropical island aromas of
the unwind range.
Precision skin
With over 35 years of plant-based skincare expertise, our complexion-boosting treatments are seriously
benefit driven. Our two facials target specific issues and use precision techniques to achieve both instant
and long lasting results. For example...
Skin awakening uplifting facial
This is our red-carpet treatment: a dramatically different facial that works on the muscle pathways to
instantly transform the complexion. Precision up-lifting massage techniques, plus a tailor-made fusion of
vitalising essential oils help to reduce signs of fine lines and ageing and leave the skin looking firmer and
plumped. Products used are bespoke to the client and include our range of facial oils, cleansers, balancers,
hydrators, masks, lip and eye treatments.

A range of specialised therapies for the male lifestyle. These are bespoke treatments for the face, body,
hands and feet, targeting symptoms of stress, travel, strain, muscle tensions and out of condition skin.

Men’s bespoke body scrub
Revitalising and brightening, this is the perfect treatment to recondition the body. Our purifying product
range is used to deep clean and polish the skin with Ardèche ambrusca grape antioxidants, helping boost
circulation and cell renewal. The body is then conditioned with Madagascan black peppercorn extract to
energise and soothe the skin. Products used are our gorgeous ambrusca bath & shower, body wash &
polish and body tonic and re-charge black pepper body hydrator.
