Not anymore! Many of the networks have great summer programming. TNT has 10 original series this summer. Cop drama “Murder in the First” started in June to great reviews. “The Last Ship” stars “Grey’s Anatomy” Eric Dane. For a sci-fi fix check out “Extant” on NBC starting July 9. It stars Halle Berry as an astronaut who finds out she is having a baby after 13 months in orbit. If you were a fan of “Boy Meets World” in the 90s, then you don’t want to miss “Girl Meets World” on Disney. The story continues with the 12-year-old daughter of Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel), who both return to their original roles. Movie channels also have new shows coming this summer. “The Knick” starts on Cinemax in August and is about the medical world in the early 1900s starring Clive Owen. HBO premiered “The Leftovers” in June and was just picked up for a full season. If you’re wondering whatever happened to Kelly Taylor and Donna Martin, tune in to ABC’s “Mystery Girls.” The two play former castmates from a ‘90s mystery program who are forced to become detectives for a case.
