With 123+ acres of woods, fields, water, and trails, Camp seems far away to campers, but comfortably close to parents. Lasting Memories Your children will take part in an adventure they will remember for a lifetime through programs carefully selected and managed to offer challenge and personal growth. Meals We provide three healthy, nutritional, kid approved meals and an evening snack to campers daily. Lodging Our cabins are air-conditioned and used by all camp groups except for participants in specific outdoor programs. (Fishing, Survival and Trip Camps) 2016 Program Descriptions Big Kid, Little Kid Looking for a fun place to go with your favorite adult? Campers partner up with a “special adult friend” - moms, dads, grandparents, or whomever - for an overnight camp experience. This program appeals to kids who might not be ready to come to camp on their own. Big Kid, Little Kid All Ages June 19-20 $95 each (Only $190 for both a child and their adult. Please register each participant separately.) Art Explosion Bring out your wild creativity as you make works of art and then destroy them! Play outside the traditional artist’s “box” and create masterpieces using mud, recycled objects and more! Compete to build the best Lego© creation, launch the highest water rocket in your group, or just build for fun and see where your creativity and a few basic art materials take you! This summer, we explore the book of Philippians to catch a glimpse of who Jesus is and what it means to trust in Him. Identity: What does it mean when someone says they are a Christian? Who is Jesus and what is the impact of identifying with Him, following His example and becoming a “little Christ?” Humility: Why would God the Creater choose to become our servant? Why would someone put other’s needs above their own? How does serving others make someone great? Joyfully: How can some people find joy in hard situations? Does being joyful mean always being happy? How can knowing Jesus bring true joy? Explorers Adventure is out there! Campers stay on-site this week, with something new to discover each day. Shepherding Sheep Volunteer Camp Wartburg begins each summer with special summer programs for persons with physical or developmental disabilities. High-school and adult volunteers assist our staff in providing for campers and making these events special for them. Registration Info Registration and Payment Please mail or drop off your registration form with your deposit. Do not send cash. Receive a discount on all camps when registrations with deposits are postmarked early! $20 if received on or before March 1, 2016. $10 if received on or before May 1, 2016. Registration deposits for cancellations made less than 30 days before a camper’s arrival will not be refunded. Financial Assistance Financial assistance may be available. Confirmation of Registration Arrival/Check In You will be emailed a confirmation packet that includes: • Camper Health Form Policy requires all campers to have a health history and examination form on file at Camp. This form must be completed every year and signed by a physician no earlier than September 1, 2015. • A “What to Bring” List • “Happy Camper” Information • Additional permission forms for specialized camps When you arrive, Wartburg staff will be on hand to welcome you! Please be prepared to update your child’s health history at check-in. • Weekly check-in begins on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. and continues until 4:00 p.m. • Half-week check-in is between 2:00-4:00 p.m. on first day of the camp session. • Hands Reaching check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 12th. • Colorado Rocks check-in is between 11:00a.m.-12:00 p.m. on first day of the camp session. NOTE: Camp Wartburg reserves the right to cancel any program at its own discretion due to low registrations or unforeseen complications. Camp Store In order to continue to provide your children with the safest environment we possibly can, the temperature of every camper will be taken upon arrival before they will be allowed to check in. We invite parents and guests to join us for dinner (begins at 5 p.m.) and attend the festival (begins at 5:45 p.m. and lasts about 30 min) where campers get to show off what they have learned at Camp! Meal tickets for guests can be purchased at check-in for $6.00 each, or two for $10. (For our shorter camps, the festival will take place at noon on their day of departure.) If a child is to leave Wartburg with someone other than a parent, a signed verification slip will be requested at check-in.
