THE TRAVEL CONVENTION
Turkey, Come Explore....
The Turkish Ministry of Culture
and Tourism is delighted to
be hosting ABTA’s 2012 Travel
Convention in Turkey for the
first time in more than two
decades, in the resort of
Belek, close to Antalya on the
Mediterranean coast.
This year will be the first time in ABTA’s history that
the Association’s annual Convention has taken place
at an all-inclusive resort. With the growth of this type
of holiday, it is the perfect time to experience a top
end all-inclusive property with food and beverage
costs covered by your accommodation – which at
just £125 for a single room at a five star luxury resort,
is outstanding value.
I am also delighted that we are going to be staging the event in the resort area of Belek,

Talking of foresight, our umbrella theme for this year’s business sessions is Insight & Foresight,
and we will have an outstanding line-up of speakers from within and outside travel who will be
presenting you with the insight to make informed and winning decisions, and equipping you
with the foresight to develop the forward and creative thinking that will help shape the future
success of your business.
We shall be focusing specifically on the customer, the future and the industry. Through a
series of insightful and thought-provoking sessions, which will be both intellectually stimulating
and entertaining, we’ll be talking about topics as diverse as how we can improve routes to
market through greater customer intelligence, how the 21st century mind works, and where the
industry’s future growth will come from.
I very much hope you will be able to join us in Turkey and look forward to seeing you there.
