Michelle Kinder, Executive Director Momentous Institute When kids feel safe and secure, their brains soak up learning. Children need secure attachments to safe adults and they need help developing skills to calm themselves down, connect with others and make good decisions. The toxic stress that comes with living in poverty is compromising the health of today’s children. Teachers and parents are frustrated by the sometimes unseen factors getting in the way of kids ability to learn and focus. We know this better than anyone, but aren’t always sure what strategies to integrate into the classroom to shift that reality. Michelle will discuss strategies such as Brain Basics, Brain Breaks and more during her keynote and breakout sessions at the Camp Fire Spring Conference. This keynote may change the way you view the toughest kids you serve and will provide specific strategies to promote healthy attachment and brain development with all children. 10 Camp Fire Professional Learning Courses for Child Care Professionals To register call 817-831-2111, ext. 145 or Training@CampFireFW.org Professional Learning Registration Form 1.
