an estimated $814 million in economic impact to

A 2008 RCLCo market study identified demand for 500,000
square feet of regional-serving retail and urban entertainment
space in the Speedway submarket. Additionally, the public
accounting and consulting firm of Crowe Horwath LLP estimates
that the development will generate:
• $5.3 billion in total economic impact to the Indianapolis
Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) and State of Indiana
over 10 years
• 5,167 temporary jobs from infrastructure and new
development in the redevelopment area
• 2,259 new permanent jobs within the redevelopment area,
increasing daytime and evening population
• $5.11 in economic impact for infrastructure and new
development for every $1 of public infrastructure investment
