ended vee bit or 1/16" straight bit Set tie bar so
dimension A is 27':• (use full slot) for smallest
letter. Guide pin should be in Hole C of guide tube.
Stylus should be in hole #1 of stylus bar. Adjust
dimension A to a lesser amount to increase letter
neight Letters smaller than 1" will be approximately 4" from fence, and routed on a 6" or wider
workpiece and trim
to desired location on
finished sign.
To engrave 2 or 3 line signs, determine width of
workpiece and letter height Lay out location of

with j/8" bit. Gut a trial letter on scrap wood to check
letter height, if letter is too tall, dimension A should be
increased. It letter is too short, reduce dimension A.

24. Place guide pin in groove 1 1 and place router bit on
center of where the bottom line will be. Put
template o< first letter to be routed in the letter

line
26. The 11 grooves on table are used when routing 2 or
more lines on one board:
2 line signs use grooves 11 and 5
3 line signs use grooves 11,6 and 1
4 lines signs use grooves 9, 7. 5 and 3
HELPFUL HINTS
Spacing between letters can be adjusted to three different amounts, by using one of the three spacing holes
m template holder.
To make routing long signs easy, additional support will be helpful. Cut a 11/«" high board by 30" long. Drill a
clearance hole for the clamp tube and screw to clamp block using hotes in clamp block.
