@ thought November 2015 MANAGER’S REPORT Once again the year is rushing by and we are planning end of year functions, writing lists for Christmas shopping, planning our holidays etc etc but we do still have a few weeks left before we pack up. Annie has just completed the photo book for those people who went on the annual trip to Blenheim, thank you Annie. This is quite an achievement especially when you didn't go on the trip. We have completed and collated the client and carer satisfaction surveys for the trip and overall the results were really satisfying especially for those who worked so hard to make the trip a success. If you want to see these please feel free to ask a staff member as they are readily available. Some of the people who didn't go to Blenheim went on a day trip to Taupo with Annie and Mike and apparently that day was enjoyed by all who went (especially the hot pools). We have really appreciated people notifying the Stewart Centre @ EIT if they are going to be absent. There has been an increase in this happening, so thank you. There is a notice about our Christmas function on Monday 14th December. Make sure you get your name on the list. Make a note of the closing and opening dates which are also in the newsletter. study which included her placement with us. Tracy was a delightful young woman, who will contribute greatly to social work services in the future, if her placement with us is anything to go by. She basically got involved boots and all and was prepared to give anything a go. Good on you Tracy and our best wishes go with you into your future and remember to keep in contact. Until the December newsletter...... Na mihi nui Lee Finally I want to acknowledge the Social Work student who has spent the last few months in the Stewart Centre @ EIT. It was cloudy in Napier when we left but by the time we got to Taupo it was sunny. The hot pools were so awesome and I haven’t been to something like that in over 20 years. I’m so grateful to them for taking me and others. I don’t remember everyone’s names but I do remember feeling rejuvenated from the water. We also had lunch there and coffee after. Me and the stairs are not good friends but they had rails to help Mike was reading us a story, it ended quickly Here I am still unsure LUNCH Tracy is in her second year as a Social Work student and we have been lucky enough to have her doing a placement at Stewart Centre @ EIT for the past few months.
