The festival of Vsantha uthsavam is considered as one of the prominent and major celebration carried in each year in
Lord Swetharka Moola Ganapathi temple. The festival is carried for five days and it is very difficult to describe
about the activities that were going to take place during these days. The performances, the offerings the concerts and
the prayers that are going to take during these five days are more exciting and impressive because of its definite
timing and an effective scheduling. The prominence and greatness lies with this festival is the Vasantha uthsavam
carried as per the Science of astral movements or star movements termed as Jyothisha Shasthra in Hinduism. Till the

In this third year, The Lord Ganapthi is named as. “Vruddhi
(Development) Ganapathi”. In this year a good number of disciples
visited the temple for their well being and happy. A few eminent and
renowned scholars offered their chanting and hymns to Lord
Ganapathi who have come from far places of the state. The name of
the temple became fame and more widespread. A huge number of
ardent followers joined the festival and offered their prayers. In this
year a remarkable happenings carried like a good number of
volunteers joined the temple by their own accord and the number of
visitors ameliorated incredibly. Many more cultural and classical
events have been carried for entertainment which inculcates Societal
ethics & Morale.

In this year, The Lord Ganapthi is called as Mathru Sthana Vruddhi
(Enhanced Motherhood) Ganapathi denoting that a few new idols of
goddesses executed. The Lord Ganapathi was brought to the original
place for worship. In this year a few interesting events carried with a
participation of large number of priests carrying intones of Manthra
and prayers with multi complex colorful flowers, flavored fragrances,
and a variety of varied food offerings causing harmonious environment
in surroundings. There was a beatific arrangements carried to Lord
Ganapathi as he has been in Himalayan Mountains and waterfalls of
River Ganga/ River Gomukhi. A good number of followers and

In this year, The Lord Ganapthi is called as Kalathra Sthana (Matrimonial)
Ganapathi denoting the meaning of “The Lord Ganapathi is being with
Spouse (Kalathram is Sanskrit word means Spouse)”. In this year the Lord
was wedded with Siddhi (Attainment) and Buddhi (Wisdom). This year
the temple authorities celebrated the Lord Ganapathi with “tying the knot to
his beloved goddesses” merriments. Since this year the matrimony of Lord
Ganapathi has been carried continuously so called “Nithya Kalyanam
(never ending grandeur)”.

8 Year
In this year, The Lord Ganapthi is praised as Kshama
Nivarana (Draught reducing) Ganapathi. The draught has
occurred in this year (2004) and there were no sufficient rains.
Henceforth the rituals were carried to mitigate the draught and
to lower the impact of the famine. The Lord Ganapathi was
adulated in five types of typical liquid forms like curd, milk,
honey, ghee and sugar water. The liquids are carried in pots
and poured on the idol. The liquids were poured in a systematic
way which was eye catching scenery and called as Sahasra
Dharabhi Shekam (Thousand lined pour). Similarly nine types
of fruit juices were decanted on head of the idol. The principle
behind these offerings is to get sufficient rains. It was
astonishment that there was down pour in many parts during
the end of the rainy season. Many believe that it might be due
to almighty magic and there was a notion that the prayers were
fructified.

In this ninth year, The Lord Ganapthi is lauded as Bhakthula Korikalu
theerche (Magnanimous) Ganapathi. The during the ninth Vasantha
Uthsavam all the activities are carried for the concern of society and its
betterment. The magic spells of Lord Ganapathi propagated to various

through direct communication and there was widespread in public. This
phenomenon caused a great flow of visitors to temple. Meanwhile the

Prathishta (Silver Covered and well established) Ganapathi.

The idol was embellished with18 /2 kgs of Silver and the act is
called Sthira Prathishta, that means stable establishment. The
silver cover has been decorated by a good number of
ornaments like scarlet spot on forehead {thilakam}, ear rings,
rudrksha garlands and necklaces. It was splendid and
spectacular appearance that makes an amazing gazed
attention for a visitor. In this celebration a sacred thread tied to
the new silver idol to empower the almighty to give handful
wishes to his followers as quick as.

In this year, The Lord Ganapthi has been commended as Ganapathya
Pattabhi Shekam (Crowned) Ganapathi. The Lord Ganapthi is enriched by
customary authority and delegate in the sacred deeds. Thus the God has

or ritual or holy fire ignitions or homas. This Vasantha Uthsavam has been

Shanthi (Universal Peace giving) Ganapathi. In this year a request

Swetharka Moola Ganapathi as per their capacitance. There was a
massive turnout of people with different variety of flowers and garlands
to the temple to festoon the Lord Ganapathi. There was a huge
involvement of common people observed irrespective of their race,
caste, religion, region, status, richness and poorness. The presenters
ware very much enthusiastic to decorate the Lord Ganapathi with
brought flowers and they participated in the said event with immense
devotion and zeal. Each eve has got an opportunity to beautify the
God with flowers or garland in the event which is an especial and

In this thirteenth year, The Lord Ganapthi has been honored as Abhi
Vrudhdhi (Progress causing) Ganapathi because of expansion of
temple with a few more Gods and Goddesses. It facilitated the
disciples to offer their prayers to present gods not only as per their
problems and troubles but also to beseech for fulfillment of their
wishes. The work force in the temple has been increased and the
volunteers too increased with clear cut responsibilities and norms,
It also facilitated the priests of temple to do respective rituals to the
special gods as per the astral movements with in the same premises.
It was resulted a substantial flow of followers regularly and
continuously through out the year. The miraculous experiences gained
by dint of just visit to the temple have drawn an allurement in the

In this year, The Lord Ganapthi has been credited as Yaga
(Holy Fire) Ganapathi. In this year a holy fire has ignited in the
presence of holy priests in the temple with an enchanting
utterance of Veda Manthras. There was an old saying that the
holy fire brings a change in the climate and brings rains to
earth. The flames of the holy fire continued to five days without
any interruption and the followers has put holy fire wood in the
furnace and pleaded for fulfillment of their desires. On last day
the holy ashes remained in the furnace were distributed to all. It
was advised to the people to spray the holy ash in the corners
of the house that connotes that evil and malevolence present in
the surroundings runaway. It is scientifically proved that the
sacred wood of Maaredu (Holy fruit tree) used in the Yaga or
Holy fire will throwaway the harm or ill causing bacteria
and insects.

Current Year
The present year, The Lord Ganapthi has been termed as Kshemam (Well wishing) Ganapathi. The Lord Ganapathi is
an eldest son of Lord Shiva and Parvthi Devi.
The current Vasantha Uthsavam constitutes three major events and they are 1) Vigraha Prathishta, 2) “Goddess
Lalitha Devi Yagam”,and 3) “Vasantha Uthsavam”,
There are a good number of idols of different gods are going
to be established with prescribed ritual procedures and
customs. This facilitates the worshippers to carryout their
offers to their beloved god or gods or goddesses in the
same temple premises. It increases the flow of worshippers
to the temple and the sanctity of the temple will be
enhanced.
Goddess Lalitha Devi Yagam, is one of the outstanding and picturesque events which is characterized by sacred fire
up in holy furnace. The fire up activity is carried by a good number of Vedic Scholars and priests who sit around the
furnace circumferentially. These learned scholars have come various parts of state. There was a small knoll which was
formed due to pile up of Kumkuma( a scarlet color) Powder put by approximate 50000 women in small quantities(pinch).
More than ten millions of pinches put at the Goddess Lalitha Devi. It is believed that the Goddess Lalitha Devi fulfill the
desires of her devotees and brings prosperity.
“Vasantha Uthsavam”, in other terms it is said to be
Birth Day Revelries of Lord Ganapathi. On this day the
present idol has been founded in this temple. This festival
is one of the grandeur and magnificent celebrations that
occurs
in
each
year.
In
these
Vasanthothsavam
celebrations a large number of classical events and
traditional carry outs take place and a large number of
worshippers visit the temple. It is expected that about ten
thousand disciples take part in this festival. The temple
