The Greater Conroe/Lake Conroe area is served by three quality school districts – Conroe Independent School District,
Montgomery Independent School District, and Willis Independent School District. These districts offer quality, wellrounded curriculum that provide opportunities for students to gain the academic skills essential for success in today’s
competitive environment. All three school districts field competitive athletic programs that frequently win district and
state championships.

HIGHER EDUCATION
Lone Star College (LSC)-Montgomery is one of six comprehensive colleges in the Lone Star College System.
The 497,811-square-foot campus is located on 210 acres of pine forest along College Park Drive/Highway 242
West. The college offers academic courses in a variety of subjects, including criminal justice, physical therapist
assistant, biotechnology, nursing, human services, computer information technology, radiologic technologist,
live entertainment technology, land surveyor/mapping technology, and fire science. A comprehensive range of
remedial, vocational, and transfer programs, including art, music, science, history, and government is available. A
wide variety of artistic and cultural events take place on campus, including music concerts, theater performances,

Additionally, a continuing education division provides workforce and customized corporate training via the
Lone Star Corporate College, along with Discovery College youth camps in the summer and a year-round
learning organization for active, older adults called the Academy for Lifelong Learning (ALL).
Lone Star College-Conroe Center, a full-service campus located in north Conroe on FM 3083, just west of the
Lone Star Executive Airport, offers academic programs, as well as workforce and industrial-oriented programs
such as automotive technology, computer technology, machining, welding, phlebotomy, and certified nurse aide.
Additionally, LSC-Conroe Center offers a comprehensive program for those interested in English for Speakers of
Other Languages (ESOL) training and General Education Development (GED) test preparation. To learn more

Housed next to LSC-Montgomery off of Highway 242, Lone Star College-University Center at Montgomery
