THE 40 MPG -RATED ES HYBRID. * The seemingly impossible THE SEEMINGLY IMPOSSIBLE MADE IRRESISTIBLE. MADE IRRESISTIBLE. Introducing the first-ever ES Hybrid: a vehicle so groundbreaking, it not only exceeds expectations, it redefines its category. Providing expansive space and impeccable refinement, it’s a stunning achievement in luxury. But its remarkable interior is only the beginning. It also features a better fuel economy rating than most subcompact cars9 and has earned the stringent SULEV emission status. Isn’t progress a beautiful thing? EXCLUSIVE STYLING Among its exquisite amenities, the ES Hybrid offers a steering wheel and accents handcrafted with sustainable bamboo. As well as seating trimmed in available denim-resistant leather, semi-aniline leather or an innovative material called Lexus NuLuxe. Compared to other synthetic leathers, its manufacturing process generates no VOCs and 65% fewer CO2 emissions. Exclusive exterior enhancements include a unique 17-inch wheel10 design, an extended rear valance that discreetly conceals the exhaust, and an aerodynamic rear spoiler that further improves efficiency. ESh shown with available equipment. See disclosures on page 10. *2013 ES 300h EPA-estimated 40/39/40 (city/highway/combined) MPG. Actual mileage will vary. A SPACIOUS INTERIOR SO INDULGENT, IT EVEN OFFERS A VIEW. You don’t have to sit in the driver’s seat to appreciate the uncompromising luxury offered by the new ES. Making the most of the additional space provided by its longer platform, rear-seat passengers will revel in the comfort of its generous headroom and legroom. And, filling this exquisite space with incomparable sound, an available 15-speaker, 835-watt Mark Levinson® Premium Surround Sound Audio System11 provides sound quality on par with the finest concert halls. Not sure which song to choose? Using nothing more than your voice, innovative Gracenote® technology can search your playlist by artist, genre or year, and even create mixes on the fly. ES shown in Parchment Leather with available equipment. See disclosures on page 10. ULTRA LUXURY PACKAGE Providing a level of luxury rivaling the finest sedans in the world, the Ultra Luxury Package features seating trimmed in soft, semi-aniline leather to complement the hand-selected wood trim. The driver’s seat cushion extends at the push of a button, providing additional thigh support. And a power rear sunshade, rear-side window shades and, in the ES 350, the luxury of a panoramic glass roof overhead elevate the rear-seat experience to new heights. A PRECISELY TUNED SUSPENSION The suspension system on the all-new ES was engineered for exhilaration. In the shock absorbers, new valving and reduced friction help enhance ride comfort and linear steering response. New opposite-wound front coil springs are designed to help improve straight-line control. And, new rear-suspension geometry helps provide better agility and overall control. The all-new ES leaves an indelible impression, whether moving or not. The striking stance of its longer wheelbase and lower profile commands attention. Its sculpted lines, available 18-inch wheels12 and distinctive LED daytime running lights turn heads. Set in motion, it becomes even more impossible to ignore. Its lighter, more rigid body and a new, more dynamic suspension combine to help deliver precise handling through turns and added stability on straightaways. It just may be the most captivating blur you’ll ever encounter. PERFORMANCE as stirring as its design. Vehicles shown with available equipment. See disclosures on page 10. DRIVE MODE SELECT Customize the performance of the ES with Drive Mode Select. In ECO mode, a calming blue light surrounds the gauge cluster while climate and throttle settings are optimized for increased fuel efficiency. Normal mode offers the optimal balance of comfort and performance. Sport mode changes the gauge cluster lighting to a fiery red, replaces the ES 300h Hybrid System Indicator with a tachometer, enhances the steering feel and increases the throttle response for more dynamic acceleration. EMBRACES ALL ASPECTS OF THE DRIVER. Even their whims. INTUITIVE DESIGN The interior of the ES proves the best automotive design doesn’t come from studying automobiles, but rather drivers. The shape of the available Remote Touch8 device is based on the curves of the human palm. Its motion mimics a computer mouse. A new steering wheel was crafted specifically to fit perfectly in your hands regardless of their placement. And, to help keep your focus on the road ahead, the center display is purposely positioned closer to the driver’s natural line of sight. DRIVER POSITION Settle into the bolstered, 10-way power driver’s seat, grab hold of the LFA-inspired steering wheel, place your feet upon the pedals and you’ll immediately sense that all three aspects were designed in tandem to achieve optimal driver engagement and comfort. And, to ensure that every driver can fully enjoy all this engineering, available memory recalls up to three personalized driving positions (including seat, steering wheel and outer mirror positions) at the touch of a button. Whether you’re in the mood to relax in world-class comfort or eager to impose your will on an unsuspecting stretch of winding road, the level of engagement you crave can vary. Now, with a turn of the innovative Drive Mode Select switch, so does the ES. From the efficiency of ECO mode to the added responsiveness of Sport mode, it’s just one of the many ways ES was designed with the driver in mind. Vehicles shown with available equipment. See disclosures on page 10. BLIND SPOT MONITOR WITH REAR CROSS-TRAFFIC ALERT Accidents can happen anywhere, from parking lots to major highways. Fortunately, the ES offers two new ways designed to help you avoid both. For the first time on a Lexus, the available Blind Spot Monitor13 features an ingenious Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system that can help detect and warn you of vehicles approaching from behind on either side as you back out of a parking space. And, at speeds above 10 mph, the Blind Spot Monitor can help you change lanes more safely by warning you if it detects vehicles in the adjacent lanes. EXTERIOR COLORS SILVER LINING METALLIC STARFIRE PEARL NEBULA GRAY PEARL SATIN CASHMERE METALLIC OBSIDIAN CERULEAN BLUE METALLIC MATADOR RED MICA FIRE AGATE PEARL DEEP SEA MICA EYE-OPENING. Even in places you can’t see. Of all the areas worthy of focus on the all-new ES, among the most important is its focus on helping to keep you safe. In addition to offering an ingenious system designed to help warn you of adjacent vehicles when changing lanes,13 available Lane Departure Alert14 helps detect visible lane markings, and if you veer, it can warn you with audible and visual cues. Available intelligent high-beam headlamps15 automatically switch to low-beam when they sense headlamps or taillamps ahead. And in the event that your vehicle’s airbags16 deploy, or you’re involved in a serious rear-end collision, available Safety Connect®3,17 can even contact a response center agent who can notify local emergency services and direct them to your vehicle’s location. See the ES Warranty and Services Guide at your Lexus dealer for details. 1. Availability and accuracy of the information provided by the Navigation System or any SiriusXM services mentioned (if installed) are dependent upon many factors. Use common sense when relying on information provided. Services not available in every city or roadway. Periodic Navigation updates available at additional cost. Please see your Navigation System Owner’s Manual or contact SiriusXM for details. 2. 2013 EPA city/highway/combined. Actual mileage will vary. 3. Contact with the Lexus Enform and/or Safety Connect response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. One-year trial subscription available only with new vehicle purchase of Lexus Enform– and Safety Connect–equipped vehicles. Additional subscription terms available; charges vary by subscription term selected. 4. Lexus Enform premium services Destination Assist and eDestination will function in the contiguous United States. These services may also function in Hawaii and limited areas of Alaska for vehicles that contain map data for those states. They will not function in Canada or in other countries outside the United States. 5. Always drive safely, obey traffic laws and focus on the road while driving. Apps/services vary by phone/carrier; functionality depends on many factors. Select apps use large amounts of data, you are responsible for charges. Apps/services are subject to change. Apps identified by TM or ® are trademarks or registered trademarks of their respective companies. For enrollment, cost and more details, see lexus.com/enform. 6. Always be sure to obey traffic regulations, maintain awareness of your surroundings and all road and traffic conditions. Select apps use a large amount of data and you are responsible for all data charges. Apps and services vary by phone and carrier. 7. Daily use of Pandora or iHeartRadio may have an impact on your cellular data plan. It is estimated that one hour of streaming Pandora or iHeartRadio consumes roughly 14 to 27MB of cellular data. The other third-party applications, Bing, MovieTickets.com, and OpenTable, are expected to consume a negligible amount of data. You can take a look at the data calculators provided on your cellular carrier’s website or speak with your wireless carrier to understand what data plans would fit you the best. PANDORA,® the PANDORA® logo, and the Pandora trade dress are trademarks or registered trademarks of Pandora Media, Inc., used with permission. 8. Be sure to obey traffic regulations and maintain awareness of road and traffic conditions. 9. Based on EPA-estimated 40/39/40 (city/highway/ combined) MPG. Actual mileage will vary. 10. 17-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may be substantially less than 20,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. 11. Mark Levinson is a registered trademark of Harman International Industries, Inc. 12. 18-in performance tires are expected to experience greater tire wear than conventional tires. Tire life may substantially be less than 15,000 miles, depending upon driving conditions. 13. Do not rely exclusively on the Blind Spot Monitor to determine if a lane change is safe. Always look over your shoulder and use your turn signal before changing lanes. There are several limitations to the function, detection, range and clarity of the monitor. For a complete list of limitations and directions regarding the use of the monitor, please see your Owner’s Manual. 14. Lane Departure Alert is designed to read the lane markers under certain conditions and provide visual and audible alerts when lane departure is detected. It is not a collision-avoidance system or a substitute for safe and attentive driving. Effectiveness depends on many factors. See Owner’s Manual for more information. 15. The intelligent high-beam headlamps can help improve vision at night. However, conditions such as a dirty windshield, rapidly changing light conditions or hilly terrain will limit effectiveness so the driver may need to manually change the high beams from on to off. Please see your Owner’s Manual for details. 16. All the airbag (AB) systems are Supplemental Restraint Systems. All ABs (if installed) are designed to inflate only under certain conditions and in certain types of severe collisions: frontal and knee ABs typically inflate in frontal collisions; side and side curtain ABs in side collisions; Roll-Sensing Curtain ABs at a severe tilt degree, roll or lateral G-force. In all other accidents, the ABs will not inflate. To decrease the risk of injury from an inflating AB, always wear seatbelts, sit upright in the middle of the seat as far back as possible and do not lean against the door. Do not put objects in front of an AB or around the seatback. Do not use a rearward-facing child seat in any front passenger seat. The force of an inflating AB may cause serious injury or death. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further information/warnings. 17. Safety Connect is available. Contact with the Safety Connect response center is dependent upon the telematics device being in operative condition, cellular connection availability, navigation map data and GPS satellite signal reception, which can limit the ability to reach the response center or receive emergency support. Enrollment and Telematics Subscription Service Agreement required. One-year trial subscription available only with new vehicle purchase of Safety Connect–equipped vehicles. Additional subscription terms available; charges vary by subscription term. 18. The Pre-Collision System is designed to help reduce the crash speed and damage in certain frontal collisions only. It is not a collision-avoidance system and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving. System effectiveness depends on many factors, such as speed, driver input and road conditions. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further information. 19. Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is designed to assist the driver and is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving practices. Please see your Owner’s Manual for important instructions and cautions. 20. Whiplash Injury Lessening (WIL) front seats can help reduce the severity of whiplash in certain types of rear-end collisions. 21. CAUTION! When driving a hybrid vehicle, pay special attention to the area around the vehicle. Because there is little vehicle noise in electric-only mode, pedestrians, people riding bicycles or other people and vehicles in the area may not be aware of the vehicle starting off or approaching them, so take extra care while driving. 22. Brake Assist is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits of ABS. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake-system maintenance, tire and road conditions. 23. Performance figures are for comparison only and were obtained with prototype vehicles by professional drivers using special safety equipment and procedures. Do not attempt. 24. To avoid potential interference with pedal operation, do not install a floor mat on top of an existing floor mat, and each mat must be secured with a quarter-turn fastener. This floor mat was designed specifically for use in this model and model year vehicle and SHOULD NOT be used in any other vehicle. 25. Lexus Genuine Accessory Warranty will only apply when the installation is performed by a trained Lexusapproved installer. If the film is installed by anyone else, the Lexus “Parts Only” warranty–12 months–will be applicable instead. 26. The engine immobilizer is a state-of-the-art anti-theft system. When you insert your key into the ignition switch or bring a SmartAccess fob into the vehicle, the key transmits an electronic code to the vehicle. The engine will only start if the code in the transponder chip inside the key or SmartAccess fob matches the code in the vehicle’s immobilizer. Because the transponder chip is embedded in the key or SmartAccess fob, it can be costly to replace. If you lose a key or SmartAccess fob, your Lexus dealer can help. Alternatively, you can find a qualified independent locksmith to perform high-security key services by consulting your local Yellow Pages or by contacting www.aloa.org. 27. The SmartAccess system may interfere with some pacemakers or cardiac defibrillators. If you have one of these medical devices, please talk to your doctor to see if you should deactivate this system. 28. SiriusXM services require a subscription after trial period. Subscriptions governed by SiriusXM Customer Agreement available at siriusxm.com. If you decide to continue your SiriusXM service at the end of your complimentary trial, the plan you choose will automatically renew and bill at then-current rates unless you call 1-800-967-2346 to cancel. Fees and programming subject to change. Available only to those at least 18 years of age in the 48 contiguous United States and D.C. 29. iPod is a registered trademark of Apple Inc. All rights reserved. 30. Bluetooth technology phones listed on lexus.com have been tested for compatibility with Lexus vehicles. Performance will vary based on phone software version, coverage and your wireless carrier. Phones are warranted by their manufacturer, not Lexus. The Bluetooth word mark and logos are registered trademarks owned by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and any use of such marks by Lexus is under license. Other trademarks and trade names are those of their respective owners. 31. Bluetooth audio device must be enabled with A2DP and AVRCP. 32. Continuous average power, all channels driven, at less than 0.01% THD; 20–20,000 Hz. 33. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective in preventing a loss of control. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 34. Smart Stop Technology operates only in the event of certain simultaneous brake and gas pedal applications. When engaged, the system will reduce engine power to help the brakes bring the vehicle to a stop. Factors including speed, road conditions and driver input can all impact stopping distance. Smart Stop Technology is not a substitute for safe and attentive driving and does not guarantee instant stopping. Please see your Owner’s Manual for further details. 35. The Tire Pressure Monitor System alerts the driver when tire pressure is critically low. For optimal tire wear and performance, tire pressure should be checked regularly with a gauge; do not rely solely on the monitor system. Please see your Owner’s Manual for details. 36. Coverage only available in the continental U.S. and Canada. Please see your Lexus dealer for details. 37. The backup camera does not provide a comprehensive view of the rear area of the vehicle. You should also look around outside your vehicle and use your mirrors to confirm rearward clearance. Cold weather may limit effectiveness and view may become cloudy. 38.
