21st Annual Conference: Coming of Age CALL FOR CONFERENCE PRESENTATIONS The Colorado Association of Stormwater & Floodplain Managers (CASFM) is requesting abstracts for presentation at the 21st Annual Conference in Snowmass, Colorado to be held September 21-24, 2010. Presentations are typically 30 minutes in length. You are invited to speak and share your floodplain and stormwater management experiences. This year’s conference theme is: 21st Annual Conference “Coming of Age” This theme gives the membership an opportunity to address innovations, new initiatives and strategic partnerships. Presentations are a way to instruct your fellow engineers, scientists and community leaders on new techniques and interesting project lessons unique to the industry. The presentations should be a current topic related to stormwater and floodplains. Topics vary but may include: • Stormwater & Floodplain Management • Water Quality Enhancement • Stream Restoration • Watershed Protection & Planning • Emergency Preparedness • New Drainage Criteria • Innovative Techniques • Technological Advances • Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling • GIS Applications • No Adverse Impact • Low Impact Development • Lessons Learned • Project Updates ABOUT THE CONFERENCE The conference will be held at the Snowmass Village Conference Center. Snowmass is a spectacular ski resort at elevation 8,100 feet. This is an incredible area to enjoy Colorado’s scenic fall beauty while taking part in this professionally valuable annual event. Snowmass is located at the base of the ski resort, and a convenient shuttle ride into Aspen provides easy access to a variety of exciting restaurants, unique shopping, and exciting recreational opportunities for attendees and their families. Unspoiled mountain biking terrain and wild flower viewing is unparalleled in Snowmass. For budgetary planning, we anticipate early conference registration to be $275. Membership and late registration will be extra. Conference registration will begin mid-July. Hotel room rates start at $109 per night. Current information on the conference will be posted on the conference page at www. casfm.org as it becomes available. Abstract format: TITLE, by AUTHOR, ORGANIZATION Times New Roman font, 12 point, Full-justified, single-spaced with 1-inch margins. Limit to one page. Include author contact information, address, phone numbers and email.
