Howe`s That - Howe Enterprise
http://howeenterprise.com/ Serving the community of Howe since 1963 Volume #53, Edition #49 Howe's That Spring has the best way of making young boys do some pretty dumb things to get out of school. Four high school boys afflicted with spring fever skipped morning classes. After lunch they reported to the teacher that they had a flat tire. Much to their relief she smiled and said, "Well, you missed a test today so take seats apart from one another and take out a piece of paper." Still smiling, she waited for them to sit down. Then she said: "First Question: Which tire was flat?" Nobody predicts weather in Texas but fools and newcomers. "And what is the opposite of depression?", the professor asked a young lady from Denison. "Elation," she answered. "And you, young man," he said to a student from Howe. "What about the opposite of woe?" "Well, sir, I believe that'd be 'giddy-up'." howeenterprise.com Wilson, the son of superintendent Kevin Wilson played in every sport offered and was the starting cornerback in football, starting forward in basketball, starting outfielder in baseball and excelled at track was well as capturing the award for the best male golfer.
