For faaorit album I chose Ithyphallic Epsylon (Belgium) Their album is called The Gift and it offers so many good things in terms of memorable, quality, well-composed, intelligent heavy/powerf prog metal songs. This cd has a very good, clear production. The band released the cd by themselves; however, this is a professional cd in every sense, including a very cool cd booklet of 28 pages (counting front and back) in color, with lyrics. If you demand high quality, this is something to consider in a serious way. If you don't believe it, go their myspace page and hear for yourself. It is not just onb or two songs are that good, if s the whole cd. If you like finding new bands making quality metal, Epsylon should be on your priority list. Within the music you will find songs that emphasize dynamics and variety, from plenty of uptempo moments, lots of melodies, good midrange male vocals and good higher female vocals working together or alone, some elements that suggest a bit of prog metal (but not overdone) with emphasis on memorable songs. Yves (guitars, bass, keys) and Sylvie (vocals) answered here. www.myspace.com/ epsylonmusic With doronloading, myspace, etc. some do not take the time to Iisten to music and want "instant gratification." America, Here We Come!!! @ THE END. Moraines (CroaUa) The Perfect Pantheon of Absence is music where melancholy and melody run up against doom massiveness, meld and result in something like spiced-up, rocking, jamming, massive headbanging heaviness. What Moraines does is something not many bands do: keep super heavy music interesting and avoid monotony. Moraines is Sabbathesque rrtfs, melancholic and dissonant melodic hooks; creative drumming with a good feel for the song, revving things up when necessary, very much at the heart of this machine; songs with a huge rhythm perfect for the live environment; and just a generally creative way of making heavy, doomy music interesting through different time/mood/rtrythm changes; limited, but growled vocals (with sensibility; no dog barking, yelling stuff) and some clean vocals, too. www.myspace.com/moraines metal-core is predominant genre in Zagreb. But there are signs that this "post-metal"thing will becomepopular as well. Time roill tell, as always... What are the htrical ideas for " Garden of his turbulence," Lyrics are the reflection of my thoughts. The lyrics on the EP deal with term of perceiuing the reality and life and also focus the narration through the eyesof a personutith a messiahcomplexzoho is facing an upcoming end of days and dtaelling on his last thoughtsand emotions. We haae limited aocalson the EP, due to the desire that our music wiII speak more for itself, so the lyrics haae limited role in our music - they are only echoof ideasu),eare trying to portray with our work. ''Garden of his turbulence'' deals with the creation of hfe and eaer-changing hierarchy of lrfr. Human is just a witness of paradise giaen to him, an electronic impulse in the seaof information, but still roe tend to get arrogant and claim our liaes and our planetfor our own. The song also deals with coping with our linear existenceand the inaisible hand which Hoznareltou? Tell what's happeninqTuithuour band! giaes the purpose to life. " And the waters separatethe space" really fine. dealsrnith symbolism of water as the most important elementof life lust returned from our gig in Split and already there is another on Earth. In the beginning of time it harness,ed the life from which booked shozoin Zagreb in the beginning of April. We started the human hfe is uoou)en, separating the earth and creating the land working on some new material, there are already drafts for 4 more on which the life will blossom. Since history has a tendency of ne(o songs and we also played our neruestsong " Fiery the angels repeating itself, the waters will separate the lands once mor4 feII" Iiae on the last ftuo gigs. Sort of an introduction into the next proaing its power to the human ciailization. This zaill be the next phaseof Moraines' roork. We are currently looking for datesfor a phase of the eaolution of the human as the cognitiue being, and small europeantour roith our goodfriends Emphasis (check them zuakinghim up to perceiaethe reality horoit really is. out!) and we are qlso preparing material for a split EP with one "Temples in chrome" dealstaith problem of religion. During this time we will belieaingin something higher and that we are not alone. The song deals album, nthich in my opinion zoill be a neTr)direction for Moraines. with faith in terms of belieaing in the human race, sort "f So the plansfor 2009 and 20L0 are recording the mentionedsplit "whateaer we do, euerything wiII be alright in the end" approach EP and our first full length, and of courseplaying liae as much as - euen I personally belieae in that.
