Compact Day & Night MOSKITO Observation & Location Unit MOSKITO Setting mode + In setting mode the graphic matrix display presents the user with parameter options. Observation & Location Unit Around the clock security Digital Magnetic Compass A radically new design from Vectronix offers security forces a universal optronic device to support them through the full spectrum of a 24 / 7 deployment. MOSKITO includes all the essential day / night viewing, measuring and geo-location functions in a most compact and user-friendly package. Like the highly successful VECTOR Rangefinder Binoculars, MOSKITO measures range, azimuth and vertical angle. In addition, it incorporates the latest image intensifier technology for night time viewing. + High performance, low weight, low power consumption. Includes inclinometer. Detect, recognize, identify and locate Rapidly varying light conditions, especially in the urban environment, demand an optical day viewing channel plus a quickly activated night channel. MOSKITO’s night channel uses an autogated image intensifier tube which dynamically adjusts itself to different levels of brightness. GPS receiver Laser Rangefinder + built-in C/A code GPS receiver + connection to an external military GPS device such as the Rockwell Collins PLGR, DAGR + Outstanding performance based on Vectronix leadership in laser rangefinding. Ranges to 10'000 m and more, with low divergence for best performance in harsh environmental conditions (dust, humidity). Typical applications Data transmission + Reconnaissance + Law enforcement + Site protection + Fire control + Close air support + Search and rescue + Border surveillance + Error-free data transmission to command post, PDA and other peripheral devices is established via cable or bluetooth. Power concept + A pair of commercial 3 V lithium batteries is sufficient for more than 2,000 measurements plus 24 hours of observation in night vision mode. The non-magnetic carbon-aluminum construction is an ultimate basis for accurate azimuth measurements. The Vectronix DataViewer is an easy to use, hardware independent freeware for Windows and Android operating systems to calculate, store, visualize and export object positions measured with Vectronix Laser Rangefinders or entered manually. It is designed for demonstration and documentation purposes. Vectronix AG is a wholly owned subsidiary of Sagem (Safran).
