There are various ceremonial options today for families that choose cremation. Will there be a traditional
viewing before cremation? Will the urn be buried, scattered, or displayed in your home? Do you want to
give close friends, relatives, or members of the ceremony a keepsake?
The first step is to choose one of Crescent's many beautiful urns to
memorialize your loved one. Crescent offers a wide selection of
styles and materials, many of which can be personalized; such as
cloisonné, marble, stone, and wood. In addition there are natural
and biodegradable options as well.
After deciding on the perfect urn, the second step is to consider the
final resting place. Families can choose to place the urn in a
columbarium, bury the urn in a family plot or cemetery, or keep it
in another place of personal significance, such as the home or
garden. Monuments and urn vaults are other considerations for
families that choose to bury the cremated remains. Urn vaults are
an excellent way to protect your cherished loved one's urn when
buried underground, and are required by most cemeteries. Also,
subject to some restrictions, cremated remains can be scattered by
air, over ground or across water.
The next step of memorializing your loved one is choosing a
keepsake. A keepsake is a great way for each family member to

Master sculptor and mold maker Randy Koufalis, has over 25 years experience in sculpting and design. He was born in
Vancouver, British Columbia where he continues to reside. Randy blends old motifs and traditions with his own unique style
to create both functional and decorative works of art and inspiration. He laboriously builds every mold that is used to reproduce all of our original pieces. These urns are a stunning celebration of artistry and imagination, captured in stone, timeless
for all to enjoy. The concept and design process of each piece begins long before any actual sculpting takes place. Most of
our designs come from our interpretation of architectural elements found in our environment. Hours of research, both technical and historical, go into every piece we design. Initial concept sketches are compiled and modified and prototypes are
completed. Using these rough 3-D models as references, we begin the creative process of turning our models into finished
sculptures. Our products are completely hand made and hand painted by a very talented team of artisans. Each piece is made
of actual re-constituted stone, taking great pride in making sure the quality of our products is unsurpassed.
