Requirements: Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have successfully completed an
electrical lineman apprenticeship program. Considerable knowledge of overhead and underground power system
facilities, including substations, switchgear, protective devices, and primary and secondary distribution
equipment, is required. Applicant must have knowledge of principles and practices of rubber gloving, electric
power system operation, State electrical safety orders and maintenance and construction standards. Possession
of a valid motor vehicle Class “A” CDL, or the ability to obtain one within six months after employment, is
required. Must have the ability to perform moderate to heavy physical activity and be able to work in extreme
climatic conditions.
A pre-employment physical and drug test will be required.
LMUD is located in Susanville, California, which is 85 miles north of Reno, NV, and 100 miles east of Redding, CA.
The area borders the mountain tree line and the high desert. Nearby Lake Almanor and Eagle Lake provide

The Utility Worker primarily works in the outside
dock area of the AmeriGas facility. The employee is
responsible for unloading empty propane cylinders
from the truck(s), carrying them inside the dock area
to the refill station, and refilling the cylinders. The
filled cylinders are then moved back to the dock and
reloaded onto the truck(s) for the next day’s delivery.
Other duties may include cylinder repair and
maintenance, providing customer training on
dispensing propane, and handling refills for walk-in
customers. This employee may also fill in for a
Delivery Rep on an as-needed basis reading meters.
