This July, we will welcome 16 new interns. Our faculty is growing as well. Our faculty currently consists of 13 pediatric hospitalists, 4 general pediatricians, 1 adolescent specialist and 1 developmental/behavioral pediatrician. This fall, we will add 2 more pediatric hospitalists and 1 more general pediatrician. And we couldn’t do it without our teachers… The most important part of education is proper training in the nursery. Our residents enjoy the opportunity to learn from actively practicing pediatricians within the Austin community. The experience allows our residents to experience private pediatrics firsthand. Precepting a Resident One full month during the 1st year of residency. One half day per week during 1st year. One half to one full day per week during the 2nd and 3rd years of residency.
