Can you guess what year this was taken?
About the cover……….
We are introducing our newest form of displaying art and history.
CAC Mobile Museum Exhibits
will be mounted on “Pro-Panels”
and featured on the main floor of the Double Six Gallery .
Our first exhibit, courtesy of Paul Milan, is taken from American Eagle Magazine,
published in San Francisco by Editor Jerome P. Arends in January 1950.
“The Carrot Industry at Grants, New Mexico”
will be on display August and September 2016. After that time, the gallery will
entertain invitations from schools, banks, libraries, City Halls, etc., to feature the
historical exhibit in Cibola County locations and beyond.
Our second exhibit will feature a series of black and white aerial photographs taken in
the 1960’s. If you look closely at the cover shot, you can find La Ventana!
Join us for SUMMER ART CAMPS
We have three spectacular programs for students 8-12 years old;
only 8 students per class and first come first served!
Camp A: Traditional Pueblo Designs on Clay
Camp B: Weaving on Route 66
Camp C: Collage Poetry
Register now at the Cibola Arts Council.
Students must commit to entire camp from start to finish.
I almost wish we were butterflies and liv’d but three summer days - three such days
with you I could fill with more delight than fifty common years could ever contain.
-John Keats, Bright Star: Love Letters and Poems of John Keats to Fanny Brawne
IN MEMORIAM
ANDREW JACKSON MORROW
The Cibola Arts Council honors the memory of our dear and
kind patron, “Andy” Morrow. He supported us to the very end.
We will miss Andy and always hold him in the highest regard.
Our sympathies to his family, and friends of which we were
lucky enough to be counted.
