choose our animals, research our animals and
type our information.
Mrs. Wehmann, Mrs. Harned and
Mrs. Smith for helping us research and
find the answers to our “I Wonder” questions.
Ms. Mary Lou because she helped us
work on our animals and she put our book
together for us.
Process Page
We began by choosing an animal that we wanted to
know more about. Mrs. Fuss found books in the library
that had pictures of our animals. Mrs. Frazier found
facts about our animals on the Internet and printed
them. We researched our animal with an adult’s help.
We wrote 2 - 3 “I wonder” questions that we had about
our animal. Mrs. Frazier, Mrs. Wehmann, Mrs. Harned,
and Mrs. Smith helped read the information to us. We
had to find the answers to our questions. Once our
research was complete, Mrs. Frazier typed up our
questions and our answers.
Next, we looked at a picture of our animal and
sketched it with Ms. Mary Lou. We then went to Ms.
Mary Lou in small groups. In our small groups, we cut out
construction paper shapes for our animal and glued them
down on large paper. Details like eyes, ears, mouth,
teeth, nose, tail, claws, etc. were added to complete our
animal picture. Finally, Ms. Mary Lou added our words to
our picture to make each page of our class book.
