How did you find out about Baltimore Steel Erectors?
Through my membership of the Local Union Hall 16.
What type of experience did you have before coming to work with them?
Previously I was a loan officer and then I became an Iron/Steel worker.
What do you hope to gain from this experience?
I hope to gain a good on-the-job learning experience. I would also like to expand my working horizons.
What do you like most about working for Baltimore Steel?
I enjoy working with my new co-workers.
What interested you in working in the construction field?
It is a good career to have in this economy.
What do you think the key to succeeding in this profession is?
Show up, take in your surroundings and have a willingness to learn.!

What is the scope of work you are performing on the Coppin State Science
and Technology Project?
We are performing janitorial services, including weekly detailed cleaning of the
site office trailer. This is my 5th trailer with Barton Malow. It is a pleasure to be
with a great team.
As an MBE firm, what strategies have you implemented to stay successful in
the industry?
Our first principle is to always provide quality service for our clients. This
principle and hard work ethics have allowed us to grow over the last 5 years, and
our firm is always looking for a new and better ways to deliver better services.
Do you implement local hiring on your projects?
We do hire locally when the size of the project allows for it. As a minority
business, we are specially connected to the local community and believe firmly
in hiring
locally.
Have you used organizations (such as the Mayor’s Office of Employment
Development or other resources)?
Thus far we have not had to utilize these resources, but are aware of them, and
will absolutely use them if we have a need as we grow our business.
