Indian Music Circle Acoustic Concert in FCAC’s Basement Theatre, 1990.

Centre with the return of our much-loved Music Hive series.

Presented by Footscray Community Arts Centre, in partnership with
Western Suburbs Musician’s Cooperative.
Jane Clifton and Quintet
Jane Clifton
Join acclaimed vocalist Jane Clifton and her quintet for an
evening of the infectious, pumping and beautifully lyrical jazz
and blues they are famous for.
The program also includes a special premiere of Cracked, a
new electro-acoustic/visual work by Duncan Foster, using
manipulated sounds and images captured throughout a three
month renovation/construction of the composer’s home
street in Maidstone, and featuring saxophonist, Julien Wilson.

No Passport Required is an extraordinary cross-cultural
group performing traditional, contemporary and original
tunes across each other’s musical heritages and languages.
Vocalists Parvyn Kaur Singh (India), Thuy Kim (Vietnam),
Claudia Osegueda (El Salvador) and Nabila Wahyuningtyas
(Indonesia) are joined by Doug deVries, Michel Bestrin, Leo
Dale, Paul Williamson, Khai Du and Musical Director Duncan
Foster in innovative cross-genre arrangements highlighted by
beautiful four-part vocal harmonies.
