Gel Mattress Overlay Features
Lightweight Poly Gel Core: With 25 gel bladder channels at 2” thick and a 75% surface area coverage, the Gel
Mattress Overlay reduces pressure to patient’s skin and bony prominences. The lite gel bladders are encased in a
high density polyurethane foam casing and are designed to prevent bottoming-out or leakage. The proprietary gel is
half the weight of water permitting easier use by caregivers.
Foam Mattress Encasement: The gel bladders are encased in a foam core with a sculptured foam pad both on
top and bottom. The top foam pad increases air-flow and reduces pressure for maximum patient comfort. The foam
pad below the gel bladders enables maximum support to prevent bottoming-out.
Covered Gel Mattress Overlay: The cover is constructed from a soft nylon, urethane-coated, non-vapor
material. The flexible, anti-bacterial and flame retardant cover provides protection from incontinence and resists
hammocking or creasing.
