If you have registered for a program and decide you cannot attend prior to the starting date, you will be issued a refund, minus a $5 administration fee. If you cancel after the program has begun and prior to the third scheduled class, you will receive a pro-rated refund minus a $5 administration fee. The $5 administration fee will be waived if the participant decides to take a household credit instead of a cash refund. Her love for adaptive recreation began while working at summer camps in Michigan and Colorado. Katelyn is a graduate of Grand Valley Sate University and has her bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation and a minor in Spanish. She has experience in adaptive sports, mental health and older adults. Katelyn loves adaptive programming because “it allows people to have experiences, and experiences are what make us who we are.” Some of her favorite programs include adaptive waterskiing, creative movement, and biking club. The program is geared towards boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 7, with priority placed on the advancement of individual technical skills and a passion for the game. The program offers young players the chance to work with licensed, professional Midwest United staff coaches in a creative and fun learning environment. 6 weeks. Includes a T-Shirt. The Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department has partnered with the Midwest United FC Soccer Club to offer this quality Winter Training soccer program. Most of the facility’s fields are FieldTurf, a grass-like artificial surface, on which players can wear their outdoor cleats. Players training on Minifield B should plan on wearing flat-soled shoes. Rooms are available for rent at the Kentwood Activities Center and the Richard L. Root Kentwood Branch Library year round. Rental fees and forms are available online or at the Kentwood Parks and Recreation Department. Forms must be filled out completely, signed and submitted with payment to secure your reservation. A damage/cleaning deposit will be processed at the time of your reservation. The damage/cleaning deposit will be returned in full by check within 2 weeks, when the rental (including guests, entertainers and caterers) adhere to the rules and policies stated, leave the rental space as it was found, and the rental does not go outside (before or after) the reserved times. Any time overages or damages will be deducted from the deposit. All rentals have a two hour minimum. Time reserved must include the set-up and break-down/ clean-up of your event. Persons renting these facilities can apply for a permit to serve alcohol. Guideline & restrictions do apply, including the mandatory use of a licensed bartender/catering service.
