LECO Corporation—Delivering the Right Results
In 1936 the Laboratory Equipment Company made its debut in the scientific community by introducing
America's first rapid carbon determinator to the American iron and steel industry. Over the last seven
decades, this privately-held, family-owned company has continued to develop a vast array of comprehensive
solutions that consistently deliver the right results.
What started with determining carbon, sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen in ferrous and nonferrous
materials has become the benchmark for developing state-of-the-art instrumentation for a variety of markets.
Today, we are proud to feature analytical instrumentation and equipment for microstructural analysis for a
wide spectrum of markets—including the agriculture, environmental, energy, fuel, food, mined materials,
metals, ceramics, and life sciences industries.

World Headquarters & Global Administration
At LECO, today's theories on analytical science are becoming tomorrow's technology. We anticipate the
market's most complex needs, then explore, expand, and develop products that meet those needs and
deliver the right results.
Located in St. Joseph, Michigan, LECO's headquarters campus is comprised of multiple facilities, each focused
on a unique part of the product development process.
Research & Development
At the Carl E. Schultz Technical Center for Research and Development, teams of
engineers work together to create and test ideas that will be incorporated into the
next generation of instrumentation.
Machining
Our vertically integrated manufacturing system allows for complete control over
procedures and products, resulting in an instrument that exceeds your expectations.
Manufacturing & Production
Rigorous testing, quality-control, and best-practices manufacturing ensure that each
instrument remains true to its original design concept.
Global Compliance
CE testing is performed at our on-site compliance testing center in the United
States, strengthening our commitment to worldwide excellence.
In-House Laboratories
LECO application experts help ensure the right instrument will be used for the right
application before a purchase is made, as well as continue to assist customers
after the sale by answering application questions and developing new materials.
Service & Support
LECO instruments have been noted not only for superior precision, speed, and
ease-of-use but also for a global network of service and support. Constructed in
2006 to better serve the service and support needs of our domestic and
international customers, the Global Support Center is home to our Service,
Customer Training, and Consumable departments.

Technical Ceramics
At our Yore Avenue facility in nearby Benton Harbor, ceramic products—including
pressed refractories and a variety of large complex kiln furniture shapes—are
manufactured for the foundry and metalcasting industries.
A Small Community
with Big Opportunities
Located in the southwest corner of Michigan
along the shores of Lake Michigan, St. Joseph
provides a quality of life unlike any other area.
Michigan's Great Southwest offers excellent
schools and an affordable cost-of-living in a
comfortable, relaxing environment filled with
award-winning beaches, a variety of housing
options, wineries, restaurants, a Jack Nicklaus
signature golf course, and much more. Our
close proximity to larger cities like Chicago,
South Bend, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and
Detroit make it convenient to access major
airports, experience urban culture, or cheer

A Home-Grown Company
with a Community Presence
LECO's diverse workforce of approximately 700
employees has helped us remain a leader in our
industry for over 70 years. As a privately held
company in a highly competitive industry, we
recognize the need to obtain and retain good
talent. Many of our longstanding employees
have remained with LECO through the years
because of our belief in the importance of
family. LECO offers a strong benefits package.
