The children and youth of Hawaii didn’t just get a day
dedicated to them, but the whole month of October!
Immediate Past‐
President Bill Ota Hawaii’s 16th annual Children & Youth Day was held on
October 4th. Activities and entertainment were held in
various locations around Downtown. It was a free event with tons of activities.
The Kiwanis Executive Club of Honolulu worked alongside both Sacred Hearts
Academy Key Club and Maryknoll School Key Club at the Children & Youth Day
on October 4th at the Hawaii State Capitol.
Many different clubs and organizations joined together to put in some hard work.

...And Down The Road From The Hawaii State Capitol...
One of our very own, Rob Ueoka, volunteered at the Supreme Court to answer questions from Hawaii’s keiki
and youth about being a lawyer.
Hawaii’s keiki and youth were given the opportunity to ask questions about Hawaii’s court/legal history, as
well as about being a lawyer. They even dressed up and participated in mock trial activities.

Along With Halloween Came The Keiki Costume Ball
Executive Club of Honolulu Kiwanis members wait for the trick-or-treaters to arrive.
The Hawaii Children’s Discovery Center hosted the Keiki Costume Ball on October 30th.
There were crafts, games, a pizza dinner and trick-or-treating with our Kiwanis club passing out
candy on the top floor! Fun was had by all.
The Honolulu Theatre for Youth held its annual Le Masquerade fundraiser on November 21st at the Pacific
Club. Actors from the TV show Lost were in attendance!
