Friday, October 2 Humboldt Redwood Company, Scotia, CA Humboldt Redwood Company, LLC (HRC) was formed in July 2008 through the reorganization of the former Pacific Lumber Company and related entities. Humboldt Redwood consists of forestry as well as lumber manufacturing and distribution operations. Humboldt Redwood’s forestry operations include approximately 327 square miles (209,300 acres) of coast redwood and Douglas-fir forestlands. Its forestlands are located about five hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Humboldt County, California. The sawmill in Scotia, California utilizes the latest in computerized processing software and equipment in order to maximize the yield of each log that comes into the mill. Consisting of a large-log sawmill, the Scotia complex is the manufacturing hub for Humboldt Redwood. Primary products produced include Humboldt Redwood decking, Humboldt Redwood dimensional lumber, Humboldt Redwood timbers, and Douglas-fir dimensional lumber.
