You become part of a tight-knit community that gives you an opportunity to learn about yourself, others, and the world around you. Studies have shown that students who live in residence halls report bet ter academic performance than their off-campus peers. Additionally, living in University Housing makes it easier to become involved in UWM events and organizations. While some exceptions exist, your online contract process will be initiated upon your admission to UWM. Admission to UWM does not guarantee a space in University Housing. We occasionally have a waiting list of prospective students. You are not guaranteed housing until you receive a online contract, return it with your advance payment, and receive an acceptance letter from University Housing. Living in the residence halls is one of the best decisions you can make during your college career. University Housing 3400 N. Maryland Ave. Milwaukee, WI 53201-0413 Live. Learn. Lead. UNIVERSITY HOUSING BUILDING PROFILES University Housing allows you to experience all that Milwaukee has to offer while remaining connected to campus life. Our shuttle service guarantees you a safe and convenient way to travel between campus and University Housing buildings. Living Learning Communities are dynamic living and learning environments where students live in a particular area of a residence hall with other students who have similar interests. Those LLCs have courses taught right in the residence hall, with instructors who have office hours in the halls, and student mentors and RAs that plan special events for the students in their LLCs. Sometimes LLCs are related to a particular major, like Business or Engineering; sometimes LLCs are related to more general academic interests, like Honors or Research; and sometimes LLCs are related to personalities and/or hobbies, like Community Leadership or Dance. Whatever your interests are, with more than 20 LLCs and over 1,000 participants, we have an LLC for you!
