New M22HTi spray guns are available in suction, gravity or pressure versions fed by a pump or pressure pot. Two aircaps are available to choose from for the best performance, depending on materials used and the required technology. Gravity fed Performance of the M22 is best for low-viscosity coatings using the HVLP technology E5 or E3 aircap, which offers exceptional results in terms of spraying quality and material savings. Pressure fed The LVLP technology EP5 or EP3 aircap provides better atomization for high-viscosity coatings. High Transfer Vortex M22HTV spray guns is a mix between KREMLIN’s HTi and Vortex technologies. It is highly recommended for fluid products or for complex form elements. High Atomization Power Pressure fed Pressure fed HPA spraying brings together unsurpassed finish quality and atomization power to apply a wide range of coatings, including those with high-viscosity materials. New HPA spray guns are available with gravity or suction cups based on an operator’s preference. A pressure-fed version is also available for use with pumps or pressure pots. On-line air valve for easy maintenance New spraying aircaps Progressive fan adjust knob This fluid flows through the nozzle under low pressure and is atomized by a fan of compressed air coming from the aircap, at a pressure comprised between 10 and 58 psi (0.7 and 4 bar). By pulling the trigger, the atomization air is first released by the air valve then the fluid is released by the needle. To have coats of the same thickness, you should : • maintain the same motion at each pass of the gun • keep the spray perpendicular to the surface at all times (see diagram) Troubleshooting 6 Fan coming out in a curve Uneven fan • Turn the aircap by half a turn. • If the fault is reversed (the curve appears in the other direction), check the fanned air outlets for blockage or damage. • If none of the above are present, check the nozzle for excessive wear. Clean the central hole in the aircap with solvent and the brush provided, • See that the nozzle is a property centered in the central hole of the aircap, • Increase the amount of drawback of the needle which can cause a misshaped fan when only slightly open. Fan is broader in the center • Increase the flow of air through the fanned air outlets. • Reduce either the flow of the paint or its viscosity. HTi, HTV & HPA SPRAYING TECHNOLOGIES Adjustments Spraying atomization quality is ensured by the central air outlet. This air outlet is controlled by a regulator on the air supply or, more delicately, by adjusting the air control knob at the base of the gun handle. Aircap Needle Nozzle Fanned air outlet Aircap Needle Fanned air outlet The shape of the fan - round or flat - and its width are determined by the air coming from the “horns” on the aircap. This air is called fan air and can be adjusted independently, using the knob on the back of the gun. Fluid output can be precisely adjusted after you have chosen a aircap kit and pressure (in the case of the pressure-fed version), using the fluid valve on the back of the gun. Central air outlet Nozzle (You should choose the nozzle that will allow the needle to be as open as possible to have the right flow for the fluid you are spraying). For example, a pressure aircap kit will not work with a suction or gravity gun.
