Joshua Alain Bouillon grew up in Upstate New York and holds a

Viktor Antipenko, the young St. Petersburg native studied voice and choral
conducting
at the prestigious Glinka Choral College in St. Petersburg, Russia. While there, he
recorded Prokofiev’s On Guard for Peace with Yuri Temirkanov and the St.
Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. Upon his graduation he joined the Mariinsky
Opera House, performing as a choral and solo artist. Later he also graduated from
the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. Mr. Antipenko is a recent graduate of the Academy of Vocal Arts in young St.
Petersburg native studied voice and choral conducting Philadelphia, where he
studied with Bill Schuman and performed the roles of Luigi in Puccini’s Il Tabarro
and Riccardo in Verdi’s Oberto in the AVA concert versions at the Kimmel Center.
His credits include Don Jose in Bizet’s Carmen with the Allentown Symphony,
Kodaly’s Psalmus Hungaricus with the New York Metamorphoses Orchestra and
the role of the Shepherd in Wagner’s Tristan und Isolde with Opera de Lyon, and
recent debut at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow as Don Jose in Carmen, where he
has been invited to return next season.
Mr. Antipenko was a winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions Eastern Region last year. At home in
both orchestral concerts and recitals, he performs Russian Art and Folk Songs with unmatched knowledge of style and
finesse.

Vocal Performance. While there he studied with Robert Swensen and
performed the roles of Des Grieux in Massenet's Manon, Paolino in
Cimarosa’s Il matrimonio segreto and Jeník in Smetana’s The Bartered
Bride. Joshua has performed as a concert soloist with orchestras and
ensembles throughout New York, including the Burnt Hills Oratorio
Society, the Saratoga Choral Festival, the Rochester Philharmonic
Orchestra, and the Rochester Oratorio Society. During the summer of
2012 he sang the title role in Mozart’s Impresario with Opera North in
New Hampshire and covered Rodolfo in Puccini's La Bohème with the
Green Mountain Opera Festival in Vermont. Currently Joshua is a
Resident Young Artist with Opera Colorado where he has performed the roles of Don José and Count Almaviva
in Opera Colorado’s outreach program as well as covered the role of Romeo for Opera Colorado’s mainstage
production of Romeo et Juliette.
Pablo Bustos is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, where he received both
his Bachelor and Master Degrees in Vocal Performance. His recent concert
appearances include: Handel’s Ode to St. Cecilia, conducted by Ton Koopman with
the Orchestra of St. Luke’s at Carnegie Hall, Handel’s Messiah and Dvorak’s Stabat
Mater with the Fort Street Chorale. Recent operatic engagements include: Tamino
in Mozart's Die Zauberflote (Opera Theatre of Weston), Il Padre in Rossi’s Il Figliuol
Prodigo, (La Donna Musicale). He resides in Rochester, NY, where he is Director of
Music at Reformation Lutheran Church, and Adjunct Voice Instructor at the
Rochester Institute of Technology.
Andra Erbar is an emerging young soprano. She was excited to be a part of Central
Florida Lyric Opera this season as a Resident Artist where she has performed First Lady
in The Magic Flute and covered the role of Liù in Turandot. She will perform the role of
Mimi in La boheme this summer under the direction of Andrea Elena.
Andra received her M.M. in Voice Performance from the University of Oklahoma under
the tutelage of Bradley Williams. She also was fortunate to have lessons with Marilyn
Horne. Other roles she has performed include Adele, Zerlina, Marzelline in Fidelio,
Iolanthe, and numerous scenes of Juliette, Fiordiligi, Despina, Frasquita, Violetta,
Micaela, and Pamina.
Mezzo- Soprano, Melissa Fajardo is a second year Master’s student in Voice
Performance at Eastman. Ms. Fajardo’s recent credits include the title role in The
Rape of Lucretia, a performance at the Kennedy Center representing Eastman in
the Conservatory Project, Rosina in Il barbiere di Siviglia, and Genevieve in Pelleas
et Melisande. Melissa has participated as a Young Artist at The Brevard Music
Center and the CoOPERAtive Program. In the summer of 2013 Ms. Fajardo will be
a Young Artist at The Opera Theatre of St. Louis and Opera North. Ms. Fajardo will
also be a Resident Artist with Portland Opera for their 2013-14 season.
Jennifer Gliere, from Cincinnati, Ohio, completed graduate work at Eastman with
Kathryn Cowdrick. She garnered rave reviews for her portrayals of Suzel in Mascagni’s
L’amico Fritz with Mercury Opera and Magda in Puccini’s La rondine with the Eastman
Opera Theatre. Upcoming engagements include a recital tour in Russia and recital
appearances in New York City and the Midwest.
Gliere has appeared in recital and oratorio throughout New York State and the
Midwest. She has given two recital tours in Mexico, performing in live festivals and
events around the country as well as giving masterclasses to several youth choirs and
appearing in television and radio studios.
Julie-Anne Hamula, soprano, has most recently been seen as Helena in A Midsummer
Night's Dream with Opera Naples. Other recent performances include Tormentilla in
The Poisoned Kiss with Bronx Opera, Magnolia Hawks (Showboat) with Opera Naples,
Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) with Cape Cod Opera, Fiordiligi (Cosí fan tutte), Antonia
(Les Contes d'Hoffmann), Adina (L'elisir d'amore), and Gilda (Rigoletto) with Tri-Cities
Opera in Binghamton, NY. This year, she is the Grand Prize Winner of the Jenny Lind
Competition, Connecticut Concert Opera's American Opera Idol Competition, and 5
Towns Music and Art Foundation Competition, as well as a grant recipient from

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Soprano Bo Kyung Kim is a DMA student at Stony Brook
University. Before she received her Master degrees in Vocal Pedagogy and Performance at
New England Conservatory, Ms. Kim graduated from Ewha Womans University, earning a
Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Ms. Kim was an active participant with the Académie
Internationale d'été de Nice, where she studied extensively with Dalton Baldwin, Lorraine
Nubar and Alessandro Zuppardo for several years. Some of Ms. Kim’s opera roles and
scenes include: Illia in Idomeneo, Adina in L’Elisir D’amore, Despina in Così fan tutte,
Mathilde in William Tell, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte and Amina in La Sonnambula. Making
her debut with the Stony Brook Opera Program this year, Ms. Kim will perform Sophie in
Werther and La Fée in Cendrillion. Also at home in the world of chamber music, Ms. Kim
has performed as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah and Beethoven's An die Freude and The
Choral Fantasia. Ms. Kim currently studies with Brenda Harris.
Darik Knutsen, baritone looks forward to singing the title role in Tchaikovsky's
Eugene Onegin with Middlebury Opera. This past November Mr. Knutsen made his
international debut singing Marcello in La Boheme under Lorin Maazel in Muscat,
Oman. This past summer Mr. Knutsen sang the male lead, Fredrik, in Sondheim's A
Little Night Music with the Castleton Festival.
Previous operatic experience includes Wagner in Faust with the Santa Fe Opera
2011, Arcas in Charpentier's Médée with Chicago Opera Theater 2011, Schlemil in
The Tales of Hoffmann SFO 2010, as well as Eugene Onegin at the Chautauqua
Institute of Music 2009.
A recent graduate of the Eastman School of Music, Thomas Lehman appeared as John
Wilkes Booth in Assassins, Count Robinson in Il matrimonio segreto and as Krušina in
The Bartered Bride. As a soloist, his concert work includes Magnificat, JohannesPassion, Carmina Burana, Mozart's Requiem, Duruflé's Requiem and Vaughan
Williams' Five Mystical Songs. A four time prize winner at the NATS Finger Lakes
Competition, he won first place and the Lynne Clarke Vocal Prize at the 2010 Friends
of Eastman Opera Competition, first place in the 2012 Jesse Kneisel Lieder
Competition, an encouragement award at the 2013 Buffalo MONC auditions and
recently, First Place and Audience choice at the Orpheus voice competition in
Nashville, TN.
Soprano Maria Lindsey recently performed as Zerlina in Don Giovanni with
Opera Colorado. This fall she was the Soprano Soloist in Poulenc’s Gloria with
Opera Omaha and the Omaha Symphony. In the Summer of 2012 she performed
with Opera Theatre of St. Louis as a Gerdine Young Artist, covering the role of
Micaëla in Carmen and singing the Rat Juror in Alice in Wonderland. In 2011, she
was an apprentice with the Santa Fe Opera, covering the role of Sardula in The
Last Savage and singing Semele in the Opera Scenes. In 2011 Ms. Lindsey also
appeared as Gretel in Opera Omaha’s production of Hansel and Gretel.
Kylah’s Magee’s earliest memories include singing Frank Sinatra’s High Hopes
with her mother and rockin’ out to Bob Seger in her car seat. From that time
Kylah’s life has been music. Her first voice lessons started at age 12 and she
began studying classical music at 16. Kylah holds a Bachelor of Music degree
from Texas State University and a Master of Arts degree from Chapman
University. She has performed with the Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Symphony, Los
Angeles Philharmonic, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and Pacific Chorale, and has
sung in world famous venues including Walt Disney Concert Hall, Crystal
Cathedral, and Carnegie Hall. She currently studies with Juli Wood.
Joann Martinson, soprano has earned top awards in Orpheus, NATS, NATSAA, MET
Opera National Council Auditions, Greensboro MTNA, Heafner/Williams, Coeur
d'Alene Young Artist, Long Leaf Opera, Symphony in the Valley, and The American
Prize Competitions.
Her opera roles include Norina, Yum-Yum, Violetta, Adele, Le Feu, Monica, Gretel,
Lola, Mabel, and the Fairy Godmother. She's performed with UNCG, Vermont
Philharmonic, Coeur d'Alene, and Symphony in the Valley Orchestras in Mahler's
Symphony No. 4, Händel's Messiah, Bach's St. John Passion, and Saint-Säens Christmas
Oratorio.
Joann received her B.A. from Minot State University under Dr. DeVera Bowles and
M.M. from UNCG under Dr. Robert Bracey.
Soprano Marielle Murphy, from Carmel, CA, maintains an active schedule as a teacher
and performer. Favorite roles include Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Zerbinetta
(Ariadne auf Naxos), Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor), and Melisande (Pelleas et
Melisande). She has sung with such companies as the Caramoor International Music
Festival, Aspen Opera Theatre Center, Eastman Opera Theatre, OperaWorks Advanced
Artist Program, The Carmel Bach Festival, and Opera San Jose. She has won awards
from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, the Holt Scholarship
Competition, Friends of Eastman Opera Competition,Carmel Music Society , and the
National Foundation for Advancement of the Arts, among others. A graduate of the
Eastman School of Music, Marielle resides in New York City
where she studies with Rita Shane.
Nacole Palmer, recently praised by the New York Times as “most impressive,”
“gorgeous,” “lovely,” as well as for her “depth and nuance,” sang her Carnegie Hall
and Lincoln Center debuts this past December as the soprano soloist in Handel's
Messiah with the Kent Tritle and Oratorio Society of New York and in Bach's
Christmas Oratorio with the Riverside Choral Society, respectively. Other credits in
New York and elsewhere include Mozart’s Mass in C Minor and Carissimi’s Jephte
with the Trinity Choir, Orff's Carmina Burana and Bach's St. John Mass with
Seraphic Fire, and Haydn’s The Creation with the Ulster Chorale. A recent winner
in the NY Oratorio Competition, Ms. Palmer is the soprano soloist in three masses of
the Naxos released recording of The Complete Haydn Masses, conducted by Jane
Glover and recorded with the Trinity Choir.
Born in Russia, Yulia Petrachuk studied at Moscow Conservatory and is a graduate
of Bern Opera Studio, Switzerland. Performed with State Theatre Bern (20102011) and State Theatre Biel, Switzerland (2008-2009), also at Philharmonic
Concert Hall (Vilnius, Lithuania), New Opera Ischia (Italy) and with Moscow Great
Hall, Russia. She received several honorary diplomas in international competitions.
Recently she became finalist of Opera Idol Competition 2013 NYC and received a
Grant by The Schuyler Foundation for Career Bridge 2012, NYC. In May-June 2013
she will perform the role of Elvira in Ernani by Verdi in Thalia Theatre, NYC.
A native of Oregon, lyric soprano Alisa Peterson made her solo début at Carnegie Hall
singing Haydn’s Kleine Orgelmesse and John Rutter's Requiem. This season’s
appearances include Pam in The Magic Dream, Pamina in The Magic Flute Sing-Along,
and Minnie in The Prospector with Los Angeles Opera, soprano soloist in Mozart’s
Benedictus sit Deus and Exsultate, jubilate, and Beethoven’s Mass in C with Rochester
Oratorio Society. A regional finalist in the Metropolitan Opera National Council
Auditions, she received training at young artist programs in the Berkshires and Italy.
Alisa is fluent in Italian and enjoys tennis, yoga, and the outdoors.
Ewa Plonka is originally from Poland, where she obtained her Bachelor’s and first Master’s
Degree, both in Piano Performance. After she joined the faculty at The Poznan Conservatory,
she was awarded a scholarship to continue her studies abroad. Her second Master’s Degree
was earned from Oklahoma City University and her Doctoral Degree from The University of
Utah, both in Piano Performance.
Ewa has always explored different artistic activities. Besides studying piano, dance, visual arts,
sculpture and drama acting, she has also been singing opera. She gave her last piano recital
about a year ago and now is fully devoted to vocal studies.
Luke Scott, baritone, received his musical training from The Hartt School of Music,
Chautauqua Institution, Aspen Opera Theater Center, Martina Arroyo
Foundation, and Voice Experience Foundation. This past season held the title
role in Le Nozze di Figaro at Opera on the Avalon in Newfoundland, Guglielmo in
Cosi fan Tutte with Connecticut Lyric Opera, the Brahms Requiem with the
Newburyport Chorale society, and Escamillo in Carmen with One World
Symphony. Upcoming this year will be the title role in Don Giovanni, Marullo in
Rigoletto with Opera Theater of CT, and Malatesta with Salt Marsh Opera in RI.
Other performances include Sam Trouble in Tahiti at The Hartt School, Count
Almaviva with the Martina Arroyo Foundation, Spinelloccio/Amantio Gianni
Schicci Yale Opera New Haven Symphony, Peter Hansel und Gretel with Opera
Theater of Connecticut, the title role in Gianni Schicci with CT Lyric Opera, and
Bass Soloist New Haven Chorale in Handel's Alexander’s Feast.
Luke was also a member of the Archipelago Project with the El Sistema
orchestra of Acarigua, Venezuela. Other oratorio engagements include Bach Ich
habe genug, Mozart Coronation Mass, Faure Requiem, and Handel Messiah. Mr.
Scott was a finalist in the Soma International competition, New Jersey
Association of Verismo, and has received awards from the Chautauqua Inst.,
Aspen Music Festival, Martina Arroyo Foundation, Voice Experience
Foundation, American Opera Idol, Amici Competition, Violetta Dupont Foundation, the Friedrich Schorr Memorial
Award, Bel Canto Scholarship Foundation, and Shreveport Opera Singer of the Year Competition
Kimberly Sogioka, Mezzo-Soprano, hailed as the “Most opulent female sound on
the stage” by Opera (UK) for her portrayal of Mercedes in the Crested Butte
Music Festival. She is involved with workshops of new operas for the MET and
Operamission in New York. Other highlights include Susanna (The Ghosts of
Versailles) at the Aspen Opera Theatre Center, Carmen (Carmen) with the Crested
Butte Music Festival Marcello Giordani Young Artist Program and with Opera
Libera in Philadelphia. This summer she will sing the role of Giovanna with Opera
New as part of the Victoria J. Mastrobuono Young Artist Program.
Kevin Thompson, "A mountain of a voice, with resonance from the Escorial of Philip
II, the throne of Boris Godunov, and the majestic court of Sarastro…delivered all the
goods...” (San Francisco Classical Voice). Recent engagements include his Carnegie
Hall debut (American Symphony Orchestra); a return to New York City Opera as Ned
(Treemonisha); Sarastro (Die Zauberflöte) Ash Lawn Opera Festival; Lodovico (Otello)
Knoxville Opera; Il Commendatore (Don Giovanni) Shreveport Opera; the Verdi
Requiem and Beethoven's Missa Solemnis. Roles he has sung in Europe include Il Re
(Aida); Hans Schwartz (Die Meistersinger); Mephistopheles (Faust); Sparafucile
(Rigoletto). Next season’s engagements include Ramfis, and role debuts as Oroveso
(Norma) and the three villains in (Les Contes des de Hoffman) with Knoxville Opera.
Mr. Thompson is a native of Washington D.C., an alumnus of San Francisco Opera’s
prestigious Merola Program and The Julliard School. He has won top prizes in
numerous vocal competitions including at the Liederkranz Foundation, Florida Grand Opera, and the National
Symphony. Mr. Thompson is featured singing “Old Man River” in an exhibit entitled Words Drawn in Water, a
permanent part of the Hirschorn Galley at the Smithsonian.
Linda Tsatsanis was hailed as “ravishing” (New York Times) and possessing “sheer
vocal proficiency, a bright, flexible voice, big but controlled, shaded with plentiful
color” (Boston Globe), Canadian soprano Linda Tsatsanis enjoys an active and
diverse career. Ms. Tsatsanis has appeared as soloist with the Mark Morris Dance
Group, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Auburn Symphony, Pacific MusicWorks,
Orchestra Seattle, Helios Opera, and Pacific Baroque Orchestra. She has a solo
album with Origin Classical, And I Remain: Three Love Stories, described as a
“seductive recital of the darker sides of 17th-century love” (Gramophone), and can
be heard on recordings by the CBC and Naxos.
