After taking the polygon count from 990 down to 835 without altering the structure of the model, I set up two UV maps, one for the counter, and one for the computer register, and created textures. Both products were set up to maximise flexibility by having three texture maps—one for the cap, one for the container, and one for the label. Real world containers were used for reference, and the models were built to a pre-set scale set by existing material.
