About the Brothers of Mercy
Founded near Montabaur, Germany in 1856, the Brothers
of Mercy are a Catholic order dedicated to health care,
rehabilitation services, and the development of residential
communities in order to provide gracious, tranquil, and
comfortable living for seniors. In 1924, the Brothers brought
their mission to Cottage Street in Buffalo. They have been
caring for seniors ever since, earning a reputation for treating
those in their care with compassion, dignity and respect.
