Entrance to camp is on the left, five miles down Craig Creek road from US 460. FROM THE DIRECTOR’S DESK: Last year we celebrated our 50th year of camp in this tucked away valley—Our Jubilee year. The word “jubilee” in the Old Testament is from the Hebrew word “yobel” or yovel” meaning “a ram’s horn, trumpet” or “coronet.” If someone announced the Jubilee, they would be actually blowing a trumpet and all of the congregation of Israel would be able to hear it and gather together for a time of celebration. The New Testament talks about a future sounding of the Trumpet that will announce the Return of our Lord Jesus Christ as King, to gather His children together in the clouds. I Thes. 4:16-17 talks about that trumpet call. HEALTH AND SAFETY NOTE A certified medical person and a certified lifeguard are on the camp staff. Each camper is covered by a limited camper insurance policy through the camp session. CAMP STORE/SOUVENIRS The camp store will be open daily. Campers can purchase treats of all kinds. Camp t-shirts, mugs, water bottles, hats, etc are also available for purchase. All money will be banked at check-in and a store card will be issued in the camper’s name. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Once that trumpet sounds, the time of getting ready will be over. The world is in a mess and seems to be getting messier by the day. While s Scripture clearly states that no one knows the day or the hour, it does make clear that the day is getting closer and closer as mankind turns their back on God the Creator and strives to find a fix for the turmoil outside of turning to Christ. One day soon we will be caught up “Into the Blue,” as the Lord Himself will return with a shout and the sound of a trumpet. In our 51st. year we plan to continue our ministry of getting boys, girls, teens and adults, “Ready to meet the Son.” Hope to see you here this summer, or in the air.
