technology eliminates the need for the 3:2 pulldown algorithm by simply displaying each
frame 4 additional times, for a total of 5 frames. 24 frames per second x 5 = 120 frames
per second, or 120Hz and a true motion picture experience.

Green Technology
The LED’s used are Mercury free and use 40% less power than conventional
CCFL backlit flatscreens.
True Color
LED’s emit a true white light, impossible with CCFL backlights, allowing for colors
that are crisp, clean and true to their source.
True Contrast
Thanks to the true white color produced by LED’s we are able to produce pure
whites previously unattainable.

Color Selection Process
• Customer selects required color from U Color Collection swatch book
• If a fabric, paint or other material supplied as a color guide the dealer
and customer should agree the closest match from within the swatch
book for the final screen color
• Order form to be completed clearly setting out the required color
(terms & conditions of the customized service are detailed)
• U Color service will be a minimum of 14 days from receipt of order
• U Color service costs $1,4999 and must be paid for at the time of
ordering the screen
• If any doubt about the final color we can provide a sample service to
agree a color match before the final TV order is placed. This will delay
the customization process by approximately 7 days.

Backlight Adjustment
Adjust the light output of the panels backlight. This is a separate
control from brightness or contrast.
Colour Temperature
4 modes, all specific per input
Closed Caption Decoder
A system developed to display text on screen to provide additional
information for viewers who wish to access it.
Deep Colour Spectrum
DCS technology widens the color gamut of the display, resulting in
brilliantly lifelike colors and giving even familiar content a fresh new
look.
Deep Black LCD
Description of how the technology is used.
Digital Switching Deep Black
NuVision DSDB dynamically adjusts the LCD backlight according
to the imagery being displayed. This technology, in conjunction with
NuVision Deep Black LCD panels, yeilds impressive contrast ratios
resulting in incredible depth of field.
Edge Correction
Edge correction smoothes out the moving parts of fast moving
images by use of pixel interpolation.
Edge Lit LED
A row of LED’s is positioned across the top and bottom of the
display and through the use of diffusers reflects the lights forward
through the LCD panel.
Film Cadence Detection
Automatically detects incoming signals film cadence. Supported
cadence include 3:2, 2:2 and 5:5.
Film Times Five (FX5)
FX5 technology eliminates the need for the 3:2 pulldown algorithm
by simply displaying each frame 5 times on the display - creating an
effective rate of 120 frames per second and a true motion picture
experience.
Format Control
NuVision Deep Black LCD panels feature extremely fast response
times, as low as 5ms (milliseconds). FFM takes this a step further by
creating additional interpolated frames, creating breathtakingly clear
fast motion sports and action. The FFM feature is user adjustable
with low, medium, high, and off settings available.
NuControl
NuControl makes custom integration easy. Every NuVision set
includes our exclusive NuControl port. This enables you to stow
your cable box out of sight and eliminate unsightly IR sensors.
Functioning as your single IR receiver, your NuVision display
connects to and controls all related components, so you don’t have
to bother with switching on multiple devices.
On Screen Program Guide
Used only with tuner. A digital guide for all upcoming shows per
channel. Information may not be available for every channel.
Input Labeling
Allows for custom or default labeling of every input.
OSD Language
Select between English, French and Spanish for theOSD (Menu)
language.
Lip Sync
When needed, this manual adjustment which delays the audio to
better sync with the video.
Parental Lock
Allows for blocking of programs based on their rating category.
This feature is only usable with the tuner.
NiDO
The NiDO circuit delivers a film-like home theater experience
by optimizing the picture to ensure crisp, clean edges and silky
smooth motion that is virtually free from artifacts. NiDO’s
advanced scaling algorithum brings all video formats to life at the
highest resolution of the panel - displaying them in FULL HD
regardless of the original content resolution.

Allows for viewing of multiple inputs or programs on the screen.
Noise Reduction
Reduce video noise and increase perceived clarity of the image.
NuColor x.v.
NuVision utilizes HDMI 1.3 inputs capable of 10.2 Gbps bandwidth
which yeilds a true end-to-end 10bit color space containing 1.07
billion colors. Compared to a typical LCD display with only 16.7
million colors, NuColour x.v. offers an exponentially superior
overall color gamut.
