ADDITIONAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
General Information
Waitlist
Current and former students in good standing may select their
own class schedule. New students must meet with an academic
advisor or counselor to assess your college-readiness through
assessment test scores and high school or college transcripts.
Your academic advisor or counselor will recommend courses
for your first term, but future visits with your academic advisor
or counselor will involve education planning and review transfer
options. Appointments are scheduled by calling 734-462-4468.
If a course is full, students can add their name to a waitlist. If
a spot becomes available, the first student on the waitlist will
be notified via Schoolcraft email alerting them of the deadline
date by which you must register. After the date expires, the
seat will be offered to subsequent students on the list.
You are required to meet with an academic advisor or
counselor if:
◊ You want to register for more than 18 credit
hours in fall or winter semesters
◊ You want to register for more than 9 credit
hours in spring or summer sessions
◊ You are on academic probation, dismissal
or have a registration hold
Academic advisors and counselors are available to
help you with:
◊ Education planning
◊ Transfer planning and college selection
◊ Goal setting
◊ Referral resource
◊ Graduation and degree audit
Licensed counselors are available to help you with:
◊ Academic counseling – if you’re on academic
probation or academic dismissal
◊ Personal counseling – it you’re experiencing
challenges in your life that interrupt college
◊ Disability counseling – if you have a documented
disability and need accommodations
to help you be successful
◊ Career counseling – if you’re unsure of your career
path and need to talk about your options
Prerequisites
Students must complete prerequisites as required before
enrolling in some courses. Contact your academic advisor our
counselor for assistance.
Students that receive permission to register after the class
has met must obtain a written consent from the instructor to
register, and the consent must be returned to the Registration
Center before the specified deadline.
Schedule Adjustment
During the first week of the term, students can adjust their
schedule if needed, including Late Entry to a class after it
has met or attempting to add a class that is already filled.
The student only needs written approval from the course
instructor for classes they are entering late. For more
information, visit the Admissions page on the Schoolcraft
website and click on the Register for Classes tab. Registering
online is not permitted when entering a class late or
overloading into a class.
Late Entry/Overload
Students wishing to register for a class after it has met for
the first time, or want to try to get into an overload class,
need written approval from the instructor. You can get a late
entry/overload form from the Registration Center to have
the instructor sign or have instructor email the consent to
registration@schoolcraft.edu. Bring the consent form or
copy of consent email to the Registration Center within two
business days of receipt of the consent to enroll.
Drops from Classes or Withdrawals
Dropping a class during the refund/schedule adjustment
period means the student no longer wishes to attend the class
and wants to receive a refund.
Students may withdraw from classes online through
WebAdvisor on or before the last day for withdrawal. Check
the Important Dates on page 1 and 2 for deadlines. A “W”
grade will be issued. Students do not receive refunds for
classes they have withdrawn from.
For more information, visit www.admissions and see the Drop
vs. Withdrawal info under the Register for Classes tab.
NO CLASSES CANCELLED GUARANTEE
At Schoolcraft College, any credit class section with students registered will not
be cancelled due to a low enrollment of students. This helps students make
progress toward their academic goals when planning their class schedules.
The college reserves the right to cancel the class section for other reasons, such as:
When a qualified instructor is not available to teach the class
For core and supporting courses in limited and restricted enrollment programs
For courses that require cohort or threshold number of participants for effective learning

TUITION, FEES AND PAYMENT PLAN
Determine Tuition and Fees
Payment Plan
Use table on page 8 to determine your tuition and fees
With the Payment Plan, you can make a down
payment on your tuition and then pay the balance
in additional payments via a credit card or automatic
bank payment. To enroll in the Payment Plan:
Verify Residency
The college verifies a student’s residency at admission
and for each semester’s registration. To qualify for
Resident Tuition Rates, students must reside within
Schoolcraft College’s district, which includes the public
school districts of Clarenceville, Garden City, Livonia,
Northville, Plymouth-Canton and part of Novi. For more
information, click on the Paying for College tab at the
top of the Admissions page on the website and then
click on Learn More under the Tuition and Fees section.
To enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan:
◊Go to the website and click on the WebAdvisor
link at the top of the home page.
◊After logging in to your WebAdvisor
account, click on the Students tab and
then the Payment Options link.
◊Choose your payment option from the menu.
Payment of Tuition and Fees
Students who register for Spring, Summer or Fall 2016
classes must pay tuition and fees by the following
dates or enroll in the Tuition Payment Plan.
TermPayment Deadline
Spring 2016 April 15
Summer 2016
May 15
Fall 2016
July 15
After the payment deadline dates, tuition and fees are due
in full the same day you register unless you enrolled in the
Payment Plan. Starting the day after the payment deadline
dates above, students who have not paid in full or enrolled
in the Payment Plan will be dropped from their classes.

FINANCIAL AID
There are a variety of programs available to help students pay for college.
FAFSA-The first step in qualifying for Financial Aid is to fill out
the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.
fafsa.gov. You must fill out a FAFSA application to qualify for
student loans and all student loans will need to be repaid after
graduation. Schoolcraft’s FAFSA code is 002315. Once a student
qualifies for Financial Aid, it is applied to the student’s account
each semester based on the start date of classes to pay for
tuition and fees. Any excess funds can then be used to purchase
books and necessary class supplies at the Schoolcraft Bookstore.
Student Loans-If you qualify for a student loan after filling
out the FAFSA application, you will receive an email from the
Office of Financial Aid advising you of your loan eligibility. All
student loans must be repaid after graduation. In addition to
Student Loans, Schoolcraft College students may also qualify
for other financial aid programs:
 Grants-Based primarily on demonstrated financial
need and don’t have to be repaid.
 Scholarships-Generally based on academic
achievement and don’t have to be repaid. Schoolcraft
College has an online scholarship service to make it
easier for students to apply for scholarships. For more
information, go to www.schoolcraft.edu/admissions and
click on the Financial Aid section.
Work Study-A program where students are placed
in jobs on campus and wages are paid in part by the
work-study program to help students pay for college.
For more information, contact Career Services at
734.462.4421 or via email at ctc@schoolcraft.edu.
For more information about Financial Aid programs, contact the
Office of Financial Aid at 734.462.4433 or go to the Paying for College tab at the top
of the Admissions page on the website and then click on the Financial Aid Services link
ACADEMIC LEARNING OPTIONS
Schoolcraft College offers three Distance Learning course formats that are alternatives
to the traditional classroom experience. All of these formats use the college’s online
learning management system, Blackboard, as the virtual classroom space.
Online, Hybrid and OEOE or all Distance Learning
Hybrid Courses
Online courses allow students all of these learning
options. Students can use Blackboard to take courses
anywhere and any time using a computer with internet
access. Weekly due dates keep students progressing
towards course completion.
 Hybrid courses combine traditional classroom
instruction with flexible online learning. For more
information on these unique course options, call
734.462.4525 or visit the Schoolcraft website at
www.schoolcraft.edu/hybrid.
At Schoolcraft College, you can earn your entire
associate degree online or select from a variety of
individual online courses to supplement your schedule
of on-campus classes. For more information, go to the
Course Formats tab under the Academics page on
the website or contact the Distance Learning Office at
734.462.4573 or via email at dl@schoolcraft.edu.
These self-paced, online courses enable students
to begin and finish in several weeks, a month or a
semester. Although students must attend a class
orientation on campus, they don’t attend regular classes
or lectures. For more information, call 734.462.4481 or
surf over to www.schoolcraft.edu/oeoe.
Open Entry/Open Exit Courses (OE/OE)
GLOBAL, SERVICE LEARNING AND HONORS COURSES

nations and cultures and their interconnections
as a part of their degree. Contact Josselyn Moore
at 734.462.4400 ext. 5271 or via email at
jmoore@schoolcraft.edu for more information.
SERVICE LEARNING
This option links academic courses and voluntarism
to benefit both students and community. For more
information, call 734.462.4400 ext. 5156 or email
honors@schoolcraft.edu.
