MORMON LAKE LODGE | Arizona
Mormon Lake Lodge
Quick Reference Guide
MOR MON L A K E LODGE
MORMON LAKE LODGE is a scenic
30 minutes drive southeast of Flagstaff,
in the cool pines of Northern Arizona
surrounded by the Coconino National
Forest. The word Coconino was derived
from the Hopi word meaning “Havasupai
and Yavapai Indians who reside in
the area.” Arizona’s largest natural
lake, Mormon Lake, is located here.
The diverse National Forest consists
of 1,821,495 acres of plateau country,
Ponderosa Pine forests and Pinon.
Juniper woodlands, clustered around
broad prairies and small lakes, are
accessible to all types of travelers.
MORMON LAKE LODGE began in 1924
in the era of ranching and logging in
Northern Arizona. It was a place for
men to bring their families for a good
meal and to have a little fun in the
adjoining saloon. Inspect the walls of
the Steakhouse and you will find the
brands of many of the ranches located
in Arizona. These authentic brands were
seared into the walls of the steakhouse
during one of the wildest branding
parties ever, when the lodge was rebuilt
after a fire in 1974. Today the spirit of
the Lodge lives on as visitors experience
the same cordial, old-fashioned
western hospitality.
THIS PRIVATE RESORT PROPERTY
consists of 53 cozy cabins and rooms,
the famed mesquite open-pit Steakhouse,
an 1880’s-style Saloon with live
entertainment every Friday and Saturday
during the summer, spacious meeting
rooms, a fully-equipped RV Park and
campgrounds, and a rodeo arena for
major events throughout the year.
Located on 300 acres of remote retreat,
Mormon Lake Lodge offers leisure
activities and affordable accommodations
in a cool forest setting, featuring
amazing mountain scenery and access
to the AZ Trail.
WITH 5 FUNCTION / MEETING
ROOMS AND SPACES and more than
6,000 square feet of event and meeting
space, Mormon Lake Lodge is an
excellent choice for your next corporate
or social event. Perhaps you are
planning a motivational group outing,
golf tournament, or special events? We
arrange both on-site and off-site team
building activities which are sure to
impress your guests. You can also enjoy
your special events outdoors beneath the
starry mountain skies.
Our vast property offers captivating
backdrops for up to 500 guests. We
specialize in grand parties with the use
of our Mobile Catering venue. Whatever
the occasion, attendees can enjoy menus
customized to your request. The Lodge
is perfect for groups as small as 12 and
as large as 300—or even 1,000 outdoors.
Our experienced and attentive staff
ensures that every aspect of your event
is perfect, all delivered with a special
touch and attention to detail.

Rental cars, taxis, and shuttle services

DEST I NAT IONS
Flagstaff borders the south side of the
world-famous Grand Canyon National
Park and the west side of Meteor
Crater, Painted Desert and the rugged
deserts of neighboring Native American
nations. With its Old West legacy and
Southwestern heritage, along with the
charm of the New West, the city is a
blend of cultures. At the junction of
two major interstate highways, served
by a regional airport and a busy train
depot, Flagstaff is a key destination for
visitors. Famed for its excellent climate,
fabulous recreation, numerous dining
and shopping venues—that are close to
a wide variety of cultural, historical, and
scientific attractions —this community
still offers visitors the romance and
adventure of the wide-open spaces.

Mormon Lake Lodge offers 6,000 sq. ft.
of interior function space—all on one
level—and 35,000 sq. ft. of outdoor
function space. All meeting rooms have
access to the outdoor function areas plus
the guest rooms are nearby, offering
convenient access.
For your enjoyment the Saloon features
live Country and Western music every
Friday and Saturday during the summer
season. After a day of fun-filled
activities, test your skill by trying the
Texas two-step and dancing into
the night.
These function spaces are designed
to offer a spectacular venue for casual
receptions or informal gatherings, while
also providing the perfect ambience for
a more formal social gathering or
business presentation.
Our banquet coordinator can arrange
music and entertainment to complement
any part of your function or event—from
live bands to wagon rides and karaoke.
Technologically-suited audiovisual and
staging make for dynamic presentations,
while the special lighting and views offer
wonderful settings for banquets.
‘The outdoor areas lend themselves
to a simple, casual barbecue or an
elaborately-themed event, complete
with white tents and linens. By day, the
surrounding peaks and mountains are
showcased; by night, it’s the twinkling
light of a million stars.
The open grounds, filled with Ponderosa
Pines, are located adjacent to the Town
Hall. Receptions from 50 to 250 guests
can be accommodated. The rodeo
arena stages grand events such as music
concerts, horseman shows, club and
organization group events with up
to 2,000 in attendance.
Mormon Lake Lodge is the perfect
location to “mix boots with business.”
Special team-building activities, with
a variety of themes and budgets, are
available and our facility—with
280 acres—is perfect for these kinds
of activities.
